Have you noticed Chris the picture of Kill Yr Idols cover in your pages are from 87 reissue, not the original? In original text "Confusion is sex" is covered and there is writing Kill Yr Idols front of it, reissue has no confusion text.

Also there is still orange 12" vinyl picture of 100% that does not exist.

If you want, I can take pictures of original Kill Yr Idols & also that 100% 12" and send them to you.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to SuchFriendsAreDangerous again.

I'm always happy to post pictures for items I don't have, or better pics of items that are there already! Somewhere there was a big thread for discography updates, but this thread is fine too.

Is the KYI without the "Confusion" really an '87 reissue, or was it just the 2nd pressing/printing? My copy looks like this but I can't find a date on it.

According to discogs all the 83 pressings came with that confusion text. And that 87 reissue don´t seem to have any other differencies (no mark of the release year) than the cover.

I´ve just found out that there maybe exists re-release of Death Valley ´69-ep. I bought my blast first version new in the nineties and there are no inserts. Or then there has been copies left without inserts (etching texts in vinyl are same).

Thank you Mortte! Are the front and back covers of your KYI "right side up" or is the back cover rotated? My sleeve opens at the top of the cover (above SONIC YOUTH) but the back cover is printed so the "top" is the right side of the image. I have no idea if I explained that well or not. Basically, the back cover is on its side if you're holding the record with the front cover the "right way".

My copy is like you have described... I thought it was one of the 1983 original prints (I bought it in ebay couple years ago and the seller guaranteed that info) but now I have doubts :S

I'm confused

My couple front & back covers are same way as yours (very strange, I haven´t got any other albums where cover is that way). So the only difference is the front cover. And maybe people of the Zensor is the only one who knows, do they made two pressings in a different covers in 1983.

More confusion...

I´ve noticed the aa-label of Kill Yr Idols in the discography pages are different than mine. The text around is different (there are text Made In Germany that are not in my copy). Also back seems yellow or brown (maybe it´s just in the picture) mine is white. In discogs labels are identical in 83 & 87 versions. So are there three official Kill Yr Idols-versions (I think in bootlegs there are no labels)?

Also my version etched matrix-code is same as 87-version (there are no matrix code in discogs from the 83-version). It´s of course possible I have original cover, but 87-vinyl. What if they made more vinyls 83 than covers and then print more covers 87 & release it like an re-release? I think it might be possible, because in 83 SY weren´t very known in Europe, but 87 the situation was totally different. Very strange anyway.
