What are you feeling at the moment?
Not what records you've bought or you are listening to.At the moment i'm feeling a lot of 80's german electronic/industrial/noise/goth stuff.Cold crude mechanics and warehouse/squat music.
|
im feeling the desire for lots of money.
oh wait. yes, yes i am. |
Black Metal is very winter appropriate.
Also, Boredoms "Super Ae" and NWW/Stereolab's "Simple Headphone Mind" both make for great winter biking and/or train riding soundtracks. |
oh that was a musical question. silly me.
i feel like i feel lke ai feel like lightning bolt's "ride the skies". something to wake me up. im in a coffee shop with elevator music. it's quite painful. any sonic attack that would destroy this fucking malaise would be most welcome. ![]() |
What type of elevator music?

50's crooners. i'm not sure. right now it's like 50's tv. oh wait wait... right now, it's the orchestral version of "the godfather". with added lyrics. someone please, shoot me now. hm, i could put on my headphones & stop bitching. but sometimes i like to try things that annoy me. no, not really. i was just talking with people and headphones weren't doable. |
Listening to a lot of metal lately.

Ive been enjoying some Glassjaw, nice hummable tunes as long as you dont take the angst too personally.

Thank you toilet.Buying that 'Library Music' book yesterday re-awakened,also,my passion for that sort of stuff and music that was created with the least possible emotion but the re-production of the styles du jour and was made for commercial purposes.

During the last few days I've been too tired and vexed to get excited about anything. I've been listening to random shit on my harddrive.
Right now, though, I'm quite enthusiastic about records I got yesterday. I'm in concurrence with !@#$%! about the desire for lots of money. |

Nice! My brother's been introducing me to it lately. I love getting up in the morning and the first thing I listen to on the bus is a Dub/Reggae comp; it makes me feel sooo stoned. |

Nothing can brighten your day more than some nice dub or reggae. I hate the people who think reggae begins & ends with Bob Marley. He's great (probably the best) but there are a lot of amazing artists out there. |
Quote:
I couldn't say that ANY better. "What music are you into?" "mmm, I like pop, rock, and reggae" "Really, niiiccee, what reggae artists?" "Bob Marley." "Who else?" "I don't know any others actually...." "Lee Scratch Perry?" "Nope" Always works like that. I saw DAMIAN MARLEY live and like him better than Bob actually. Lee Perry's amazing though, I'm pretty sure he's the one who helped Bob get popular. WELCOME TO JAMROCK! |
i've been feeling a bit of a matt bower thing during the past week after seeing skullflower. but that's also what I've been listening to a lot.. skullflower, sunroof!, etc.
i'm also feeling i should delve deeper into krautrock. |
Feeling a bit no wave
|
Contemplative acoustic soundscapes.

Its even worse if they only know who Sublime is & they say they love reggae. Lee Perry is amazing. The Arkology Box Set & it is pretty intense. He produced a lot of the early Wailers stuff & many other amazing records like Heart Of The Congos. Too bad he burned down the Black Ark. |
Lots of thrash and Text of Light.
|
I'm feeling Arcade Fire today since early morning.
Yes, I feel really bad and hung over. |
I'm feeling girl-bands this morning. Those 'Girls In The Garage' compilations set the mood for today.
