Yeah, SY and tJaMC are the big reasons that I would want to go. I'd go see Interpol as well, if the time doesn't conflict with anything. The only things that might stop me are the fact that it is a school day, and getting my dad to take me.

My one note of caution is that The Cocteau Twins were billed to reunite to appear last year, and that never happened. JAMC reuniting could be very lame, I reckon - they had their moment, and now it's gone. Before you get too excited bear in mind how poor their last few releases were before they split.

fuck, i feel like pawning all of my belongings to see at least the firts day of coachella, i think its worth it, how about you....

there's not a single band i'd be interested in seeing on that bill (at least none that i've not already seen, like SY, EitS, black keys, etc).

what a load of toss. on the other hand, it's not marketed towards someone like me.

i'd pay to see sonic youth, gogol bordello, gotan project actually (ive heard some stuff that was mildly interesting), blonde redhead for sure, !!!, manu chao, maybe the black keys, and of course bjork. sounds actually like a festival from 1999, but still enjoyable.

my problem is that *no decent bands* come near where i live, so i must chase them to festivals where i can gobble up as much as i can.

however

isn't coachella really horrible, as a... whole setup??

With VERY few exceptions, that lineup looks positively painful. PAINFUL. Some kind of indie/emo/insert-genre-title-too-hip-for-me-to-know steaming regurgitation.

Maybe I just have shit taste in music.

Getting back to r-e-a-l-i-t-y, I only wish I lived on that side of the pond right now - the line-up is looking like the best of the summer festivals. I'm still keeping an eye on Glastonbury, though.

I'll be there if people want to meet up. I just hope they don't conflict SY with DJ Shadow. Barring any conflicts with other bands some of the electronic artists I would check out are Hot Chip, Air, Klaxons, Teddybears, The Rapture, Ratatat, and LCD Soundsystem. There's so many bands that I want to see though I know I'm gonna have to pass up some of them.
