PAULYBEE2656 08.21.2009 11:26 AM

hits are for squares... seemingly i own half of them in ireland..and i have 2!

noisereductions 08.21.2009 11:27 AM

I have HITS also. It's rare?

pinkstation 08.21.2009 11:30 AM

yeah! In more than one interview that i've watched Lee and Thurston declare that it's "the most hard-to-find and obscure release" in their discography. Neither of them have ever seen one or met anyone whose seen one. They didn't even recieve any to sell on their site.

PAULYBEE2656 08.21.2009 11:31 AM

yeah...seemingly so..... there is stupid prices for them on ebay and amazon anyhoo...... deleted and never released outside about 10 shops in the us so i take it its rare enough..im a music fan not a collector tho so someone else may have better info on that score.

PAULYBEE2656 08.21.2009 11:32 AM

a mate got me one in nyc when it came out and posted it over and i found another one for €2 or something in a bargain bin in my local shop here in wexford..i couldnt leave it there....

pinkstation 08.21.2009 11:37 AM

me:
coachmen - failure to thrive LP
sex pistols - anarchy in the uk 7"
the clash - white riot 7"
(all first presses)

coachmen for sale

radarmaker 08.21.2009 11:41 AM

Prob one of these:

Sugar Kane 12"
Flower/Satan Is Boring 12"
Velvet Underground - White Light/White Heat / Here She Comes Now promo 7"
Green River - Together We'll Never / Ain't Nothing To Do 7"

or, in terms of raw numbers pressed, some local band that only printed 100 copies or something.

My most valuable one is an unpeeled mono Velvet Underground & Nico.

stu666 08.21.2009 11:48 AM

i have "hits" too, i don't think it's that hard to get if you really try. one of my rarest tapes is Huggy Bear's live cassette "for every wolf that roams", only 57 were made.

i have loads of records/cd's that are limited to 50 or less i don't know what's the rarest though.

noisereductions 08.21.2009 11:53 AM

hmm. I ordered HITS from hearmusic.com the day it came out.

StevOK 08.21.2009 11:56 AM

Trippind Daisy's self-titled album sells for over $30 whenever one goes on sale. I bet floatingslowly's copy of their EP The Tops Off Our Heads would go for $150.

Rob Instigator 08.21.2009 12:00 PM

Hmm, good question. the most rarity is a bit hard to determine for me.

How many ROOT 5 x LP's were pressed?

[pre-emptive response: stfu, Rob.]

Glice 08.21.2009 12:11 PM

I have a limited edition of one of the first Team Brick CD-r. He told me he did mine differently to all the other ones, which are still bastard hard to find.

Of records that more than 2 people would actually want, I've got a copy of the first Placebo demo tape (don't laugh) and Re: Mr A Fan by NNCK on Green vinyl, which I've never seen elsewhere.

Sonic Youth 37 08.21.2009 12:15 PM

Scissor Shock - The Mars Travolta
Vivians Girls - Live at WFMU CD-R (edition of 150)
lovesliescrushing - purple 7" (I've never seen another...ever...even on ebay)

dirty bunny 08.21.2009 12:54 PM

I'm guessing this has to be an obscure release by a band you've actually heard of. In that case, in that case I have:

A 4-track Teenage Fanclub sampler featuring: Take the Long Way Round, Speed of Light, Your Love is the Place Where I Come From & Ain't That Enough

Screaming Trees- Something About Today 4-track special edition featuring Uncle Anesthesia, Who Lies in Darkness, Ocean of Confusion & Something About Today (Numb Inversion Version).

I also have a rare Muse EP lying around somewhere.

finding nobody 08.21.2009 12:55 PM

Beefheart's First single

copy of Sebadoh- III (reprint) signed by Lou, Jason, and Eric

I also have an SST copy of EVOL

Rob Instigator 08.21.2009 01:56 PM

I have a photobucket folder with dozens and dozens of pics from goddip forum members with moustaches drawn on

floatingslowly 08.21.2009 02:00 PM

Revolting Cocks - Let's Get Physical 12" test pressing

white sleeve/white label/original lyrics

davenotdead 08.21.2009 02:01 PM

animal collective stuff that you guys don't wanna hear about...

Rob Instigator 08.21.2009 02:26 PM

is there a difference between rare and undesired?

;)

godsfavoritedog 08.21.2009 02:30 PM

For records: Not sure which is worth the most, but a ton of Coil and Foetus vinyl.

For cd's: Imminent Starvation - Nordbox or Shinjuku Thief - Witch Trilogy box. I also have the Cure "Five Swing Live" ep that goes for a decent amount on ebay when it's offered.

i'll sell it tho cos i don't really care for ac anymore

noisereductions 08.21.2009 02:57 PM

The only physical records I buy anymore are SY. And Lohan. haha.

godsfavoritedog 08.21.2009 03:04 PM

Speaking of Lohan, I watched "I Know Who Killed Me" ... or tried to. My stupid dvr cut off the recording right at the part where she was taking the boyfriend upstairs. Now I have to wait until next time it's on to see it (Sunday). Just when it was getting good ...

OMG. It cut off right before the um... best scene in the movie!

godsfavoritedog 08.21.2009 03:11 PM

My dvr hates me ... it'll record fine sometimes and other times it just works for 50 or so minutes and goes to pitch black. It still records sound but that's it. Then I get to wait until the next showing and hope it doesn't happen again, which is no problem if the movie's on every other day or so ... but it took me almost 3 full weeks to get to see the ending to "Naked Fear" (a CLASSIC, btw).

noisereductions 08.21.2009 03:14 PM

whatdya think of the beginning of I KNOW?

godsfavoritedog 08.21.2009 03:20 PM

I thought it started out slow but it was starting to get better. It's kind of what I expected and I'm surprised LL signed on for it. But I'm damn glad she did!
