Night Drones
So, a strange and rather creepy thing happened to me last night. I woke up at around 3am to a very strange long drone that filled the whole bedroom. it consisted of 2 sounds mixed with each other, and it sounded almost like some weird ambient tune. I listened to it for about 15 minutes and then my girlfriend woke up and was all like: "Do you hear that sound? Creepy, isn't it?". I tried visiting other rooms too and opening the window and checking if it hasn't come from outside, but the sound was only present in the bedroom. Sometimes it even "moved" or how to call it ... it sounded as if the sound was slowly drifting from one corner of the room to another.
It lasted for around 40 minutes and then it just vanished. what is strange is that I've encountered the same thing when I was in Baltimore in summer of 2002. any one of you has ever had an experience like this ? |
what?
are you kidding? whats the name of that drug? |
no kidding. i was stone sober.
|
thats hilarious, how loud was it?
I think when your girlfriend woke up from it it must be on an averyge volume. which is sick. man sounds really interesting |
soundz interesting!
|
I assume you DID NOT RECORD THE FUCKIN' SOUND, right?
you fool! |
it may sound a bit off now, but believe me, I really was shit scared and so was the girlfriend.
|
Honestly I can understand.
Noises at night are quite scary, especially when you can't identify the source..Could you feel the bed/floor "vibrate" a bit? Like when a big bus passes by or something? |
Noises by night are the best. It's always a bit unreal
|
no, i did not feel ani vibrations or something. everything was calm, except for the sound.
when the same thing happened one night in the house in Baltimore I lived in, the only difference was that the sound was giving me painful headaches. this one was rather soothing. |
Can you describe it any better? Could have been the pipes in the wall or something.
The closest I've come to that is waking up to an explosion. |
hahaha like that I would imagine my neighbour while I was building up some subbass at night while listening on headphones but forgot to put off the subwoofer. I not thinked about the "pump" coming from my headphones, hahahaha
|
It's the new SYR
not released on tape, vinyl or Cd. It's just distilled in the atmosphere catch it if you can. |
^^^^hahahaha yes nice!
btw "night drones" would be an ace title for some tunes |
I can explain this.
Have you ever seen the film Monster's Inc.? Well it's like that only instead of CGI monster's its drone musicians. They come out of yr vinyl at night to scare you into buying more Sunno))) lp's so you can listen to the lp's during the daytime and not be afraid when it happens at night. It's just the CaptialistDroneIndustrialComplex fucking you over as usual with their psyops. |
infra-sonic-waves
do you got elephants near your house? they communicate with infrasonic |
I think they might be after you, _slavo_
|
they surely are. I even think I heard my girlfriend say something like "beep beep" when she fell asleep afterwards.
|
floatingslowly is your girlfriend?
|
Maybe someone in the room above was vacuuming?
|
I'm on the top floor.
Nobody seems to be vacuuming at 3am in our geographic region. |

What about the secret room? The one in the parallel dimension? |
Quote:
that might be the clue. if so, they have damn good drone scene there. |
Of course they bloody do! It's a parallel dimension, isn't it? Everything is cool in a parallel dimension!

^^^you know frightening much....
@slavo check your butt for robotoil too |
As it happens, I've experienced this loads of times in my life (most recently just last week) and it confuses the fuck out of me.
Obviously, when you're half-awake it's the sound of the apocalypse. A more reasonable explanation would be that in the middle of the night you can hear all those sounds that get drowned out normally, and your ears are a bit more relaxed. If it's the same, or a similar sound, it's like an all-engulfing, very low pitched drone which disappeared after about 10 minutes. It was very, very thick. |
I wnt that too
|
I used to get it more in London, so I've a feeling it might be a city thing.
|
I like the noise of highways a few hundred meters away at night, its like the sea noise of the city
|
I used to live about two hundred metres from a motorway. There's nothing comforting about road noise.
Going with what Glice said, there's a surprising amount of noise made by electrical equipment which is only audible at night when all the other distracting noise is absent. |
