In starting this thread I've realised two things:


I've started using the phrase "Many happy returns"
And it's quite a maudlin expression.

I love that word. Maudlin.

Maybe maudlin's the wrong word, but it's like saying, "I hope you have a few more birthdays in you".

It's a good word to say out loud. Everybody try it.

You know, I should have been able to figure that one out for myself.

Try saying it with an English accent.

Now, say it with a Russian accent.
