A question about unconciousness...

Have you ever fainted, passed out, or got knocked unconcious in an accident or a fight or whatever?
I don't mean like going under for surgery or such.
EDIT: Oh, or did a David Carradine thing where you make yrself pass out for orgasm?

floatingslowly 03.04.2010 08:19 PM

No, passed-out drunk doesn't apply here.

floatingslowly 03.04.2010 08:23 PM

who said anything about drinking?? :o

akprodr 03.04.2010 08:40 PM

I woke up on the floor once--I didn't think I had been drinking that much. I think I put a hole all the way through my lip. Had a fat lip for months.

atsonicpark 03.04.2010 08:45 PM

i passed out in the middle of a five a side football tournament, i used to get heart palpitations regularly. Mainly during football matches, and basketball games too.

automatic bzooty 03.04.2010 08:58 PM

i slipped in this massive puddle of chocolate milk once.

for some reason i was running and somehow didn't notice, y'know, a veritable lake of pale brown liquid on the white tile floor. weird shit ensued. might've been a really minor concussion or some shit? eh.

girlgun 03.05.2010 02:38 AM

i had some seizures a few times. floating saw one of them. he tried to call 911. it was weird.

static-harmony 03.05.2010 02:49 AM

I was drunk, high, and on some pills.

pbradley 03.05.2010 03:49 AM

I passed out, once, in middle school while running.

A pal had a photo lab set up in his tiny bathroom. After developing a few photos, we returned to his living room. Suddenly, everything went checkered and then...blackness. I woke with my terrified friend standing over me, yelling my name.

I was only out for a little while, but it was easily one of my most horrifying experiences. That loss of control...scary.

Why do you ask?

In highschool we would make ourselves pass out on purpose because of the euphoria you feel wneh you come back to.

despite quite a few head traumas, incidents of excessive consumption of alcohol, and a few seasons of dirt bike riding (which naturally implies/includes dirt bike crashes), I have only blacked out twice in my entire life. The first time was in the second grade, I was on the swings, a kid tried to run under my swing, something which was quite common in fact I also did that, but for some reason I felt like being a dick or that he was being or dick so I kicked that motherfucker in the back as he ran under me.. big mistake. I was knocked off the swing and flew at least 15 feet across the playground. I came to with a playground attendant and a pile of kids looking over me and I had absolutely no comprehension of where I was or how I got there or how long it had been.

The second time was four years ago, after smoking some dangerously potent salvia. I went off into some other dimension, it was very frightening, and I also had no comprehension of time or space or perception of body. My friends who I was smoking with tell me I was rolling around on the floor and then darted outside. I 'came to' standing in the front yard holding my cigarettes, the first thing I recognized was the sun, then sky, then yard, then street then I realized I was back in my normal body and world. But I had the exact same sensation of confusion and disorientation that I had when I blacked out when I was 8 years old on the playground.. I had no idea what had happened in 'the real world' or how much time had passed or how I got to the front yard or anything of the sort. For all intents and purposes I was unconscious.

when I was in the fifth grade a friend of mine on the block accidentally killed himself playing that 'choking game'. needless to say none of us even remotely thought about it. high school eh? Why didn't you lamewads get some weed or booze or something safer? I have never understood self asphyxiation or even inhalants... why not just get stoned like regular dysfunctional people?

i've had the restart button pressed a couple times. The first time was in 3rd grade. It was the 2nd day of school, and it was the 2nd of me being in a new school. I had just moved from miami to a small ass town in north florida, and a bunch of redneck offspring wanted to fight me. This one kid, Kris Hewitt, who i later learned was already socially out casted, kept fucking with me on a the monkey bars. It was about 10 ft tall, and was levels metal rods bent in the shape of a 4-leaf clover. Eventually, he made me slip. I hit my head on one of the metal bars, and I remember that, but the next thing i remember was waking up to classmates around me and seeing the teacher run across the playground.

Then there was an incident which i have absolutely no recollection of whatsoever. My entire family has shared this story with me, but i dont remember it in the slightest bit. My uncle (who is only like 6 or 7 years older than I am) had a job as a life guard at the city pool when he was in high school. I was in elementary. I was always a strong swimmer, mostly because i learned to swim in the ocean, which is why the story makes no sense. Apparently I almost drowned. According to the story, my cousin and i were jumping into the deep end, and going to the bottom to see who could stay at the bottom the longest. I won. I'm very competitive, especially with family.

The only time I have "blacked out" whilst intoxicated was during the 2008 BCS National championship game. It was at Dolphin Stadium with UF against Oklahoma. Drinks were expensive. Lines were ridiculously long. I was only tail gating, because i wouldve had to sell my car to afford a ticket. So I triple fist the pregame and the 1st half. I dont remember the 2nd half, which apparently was one of the best championship games in college football history. And it was my favorite team that won it.

Fuck you Gin/whiskey/weed/beer/mystery drinks.

when i had my first big growth spurt i got some blood pressure problems. when i'd sit down for a long time and get up too quickly i would go blind, get an awful headache, fall down and start shaking as if i had a seizure. the first time this happened i also hit a large flower pot with my head and went unconscious. i woke up and saw my mother, she had been shouting my name for 30 seconds and i hadn't heard.

i once fell seizing out of my father's car in a parking lot. they took me to the hospital for brain tests, only to conclude that it was like a small epileptic seizure, but i could predict when it would come. when i'm very tired i still have this in the morning, it scares the crap out of my boyfriend when i suddenly fall back into bed, with some kind of spasms.

Yeah, I could see that being a problem. Did you warn him ahead of time?

phoenix 03.06.2010 08:28 AM

the ikara cult 03.06.2010 09:22 AM
