I used a different cup this morning to drink tea out of, and when my dad found out he flew into a rage, accusing me of pissing in it! He said he could smell the piss in the cup! I naturally protested my innocence, as any sane person would, but all he did in response was threaten to throw me out of the house!

I'd like to believe that my dad is just like any other, and maybe other dads would've reacted in the same way, and that my mum didn't marry a madman, but I'm having serious doubts.

How old are you? I'm not taking the piss (ha ha!), I really do think this variable has an importance in the whole thing.

How does the age of people who suffers deranged behaviour towards them factor in it?

I think the younger you are, the more reasonable it is to suspect you would piss in his tea.

If you're a 13yo brat he could have a point saying things like those, if you're a 40yo grown man he could say those things just to scare you and have you run away from their house/pretend to have a reason to kick you out other then parental hatred.

It was one of his mugs. Maybe that's why he exploded the way he did. I'm still trying to figure out the pissing in the mug accusation. I'm sure a psychoanalyst could tell me the meaning behind it.

Maybe you did piss in his mug out of subconscious anger and you are blocking out the fact you have done this in your mind?
