I can understand the thing about dyeing hair. When I was at school, I was thinking of dyeing my hair black (my parents would have throttlerd me, but...), and was put off when one of the girls in my art class told me how painful it would be (she had her hair dyed black). Since then , I've not bothered, and now I'm beginning to show traces of grey, would actually prefer to let nature take it's course.

I dyed my hair for years. Still got a full head of hair. No need to be a pussy, it doesn't hurt (just get someone who vaguely knows what they're doing to do it).

If I could go back in time I would chose to never dye my hair. Virgin hair is lovely, and you don't have to worry about it fading, turning some other colour, drying out, growing out. yeah...

Quick story: In 1979, my mum had long, brown hair. She came home one day with a short bob, dyed black with red streaks through it. She looked great, frankly, and I knew it even then. I was childishly impressed, but did ask her what my stepdad would think of it. He came back home, and gave it the two thumbs up treatment. So whaddya know, me mum and Siouxsie rocking the same hair independently? (My mum hated punk. by the way, so she weren't influenced by that lot...or so she says now!)

My hair has been blue, green, black, red, orange and pink. I've been au naturale the past 9 months or so, no looking back.

Yeah I'm getting my hair dyed too. I'm more worried about getting my lip peirced, I dunno how it'll look on me...

if you want my honest opinion, they'll both probably look shit, or silly
sorry but i'm really opposed to facial piercings especially (except for nose studs, not rings, and even those should only be worn by girls)

I have dyed my hair so many different colors, dying your hair is by no means painful. Like, not at all, that's ridiculous. Bleaching is super itchy, that's it.

Bleaching horror story:
I once let my roots grow out too long for the heat from my scalp to help process the bleach. The result? Orange roots..and I mean fucking ORANGe.
So i got the bright idea to bleach again. The result?
Huge weeping sores eaten into my head and me sobbing.
