Inside Inzane Studios-"Synth Duo pt.1"
its john and tovah olson (dead machines) podcast thingy, and this episode is olson and dilloway playing synthesizers over synth records playing in the background. kinda neat i guess, just sounds like they were sort of bored and happened to be listeneing to synth music though. |

The Crystal Stilts's album (www.myspace.com/crystalstilts).
I like it, it's hard to catagorize - and not in the lame NME-'it's-indie-music-but-it-has-synthesisers-too!'-sense but because it's so unique. It's really atmospheric: gloomy and psychedelic, makes me think of a deserted, haunted funfair which is strangely seductive (I'm thinking of Carnival Of Souls not Scooby Doo), and some nice psychobilly guitar-riffs too. Can't wait to see them play Leeds. |

I think it's one of those albums you have to listen to a couple of times before it really hits you.

Better, you said ? That's full of promise. |
It's "lighter" , less obscure or tortured but they go together really well. They complement one another in a very rewarding way. I also own the Anatomy of Sharks EP on sexy wax, which is the little brother. bah these records are fucking ace. Was listening to Shipping news yesterday. Just as good too. This Mueller guy rules.

Am I the only one who thinks Metal machine music sucks ? :o

My dad got this as a gift, but he already has the band's whole discography so he just let me have it... I guess I'll at least listen to it myself..
