no disrespect meant here, just voicing a thought, but at times i wonder if plips might be a sock puppet playing us for his own entertainment. the long con. i'd rather give him the benefit of the doubt than err on the side of cruelty, but damn. i had to google jenkem. i can't stop laughing now. |

Be sure to mention "jenkem fermenting" as a special skill. |

sooo, my roommate moved out.
she didn't let the landlord know and she still has a key to the flat + locked the room she lived in. landlord came by yesterday to tell me she owes him over a grand. gave me a nice lil letter. is it an asshole move to send it to her parents? cause she changed her number and i don't know where she went. i don't want to be stuck paying her debt. and I don't want to get kicked out. not now! i just signed up for my BA thesis. I have stuff to do. I SO want to punch her in the vagina. |

Sounds kinky, tell us more. |
jenkem is a hoax no? Only can find a single BBC reference and even that seems possibly bullshit (pun intended)

Spent a unbelievable evening with the family sitting around a backyard fire. Everyone cleared out about 10:45 pm, just before Mayweather Pacquiao started.
Via the power of Twitter, I found a youtube stream of two guys doing their own blow by blow of the fight. My wife and I listened to these two guys describe the fight in real time while keeping up via (me) on twitter (her) on facebook. It was amazing to see how many people were watching from around the world. Here in our city, hundreds gathered outside a Buffalo Wild Wings to watch through the window......BWW was at capacity and they weren't allowing anyone else inside. Another similar scene in New York where hundreds stopped in the street to watch through someones window. The millions in the Philippines was something to see: ![]() No regrets not spending the $100 to view the event, but listening to two guys describe the fight and watching the world via social media was a nice experience! |
Mayweather is the most boring fighter in the sport but he is undefeated for a reason. He is a mathematical fighter, counts punches, good defense to reduce the opponents opportunities for punches.. dude can't read but he can count money yo

nice. |
Yeah such friends is exactly right. He figured out Manny and won the math later in the rounds.
I still hate him. |

In regards to his ethical issues, well its boxing, not exactly renowned for its scrupulous morals.. Ill say this, i seen Mayweather fights that i disagreed with the decision and clearly the other guy won BUT last night it was clear as day that Floyd beat Manny fair and square. All those fakes, jukes, and holds didn't let Manny get into any kind of rhythm. It was boring to watch but clearly Mayweather never cared about aesthetics rather just counting punches and counting money. |
i finally have my own fucking laptop. hallelujah.

Back from vacation. delicious. butter keef, honeycomb, strawberry cough, hybrid hand-rolls, HellsAngels OG, Girl Scout Cookie, Kush Cleaner, lollipops, hash chocolate bars,
awesome. Living the FREEDOM. Hit two separate speakeasy's/member's clubs, where you can smoke as you please. one was seedy one was more like a cool bar, but both were fun and liberating. If anyone is ever in Trinidad Colorado, hit up the Peaceful Herbs dispensary. Nicest people and quality products |
I loved those old DC Jerry Lewis comic books when I was a kid, but I think I'd appreciate them a little more now as an adult. I think this is some subtly funny stuff. "I made it with a beard..." ?? And, of course, if the test of a gifted cartoonist is in the rendering of the female figure, then Mort Drucker passes with flying colors!

It wasn't much of a fight......but we can all agree there was at least one knock out that night: ![]() WELCOME BACK ROB......post some pics! |
Surprisingly that was one of Mayweather's most convincing wins.. usually the opponent land enough punches to.keep it close and controversial.

borrowed, owned, what's the difference but the spyware. i had been waiting to tell you last week we stopped at this indian casino gas station and they had american spirit blacks... so i bought a pack ha ha ha (no smoke tax on indian lands). now i'm afraid of smoking it and getting hooked. actually, what i'm really afraid of is smoking it and gettin nauseous, ha ha ha. (it's happened). but perique.... perique is good. |
OHH don't tell me that. i miss those, man. i've been super congested all week and craving a smoke.
an indian casino gas station just sounds awesome. that reminds me of driving to vegas with my dad and stepmom and stopping at this casino/restaurant in mesquite, nv. how anyone could live there is beyond me, but the kitsch factor was through the roof and honestly sorta awesome. |

I totally agree. Mayweather was brilliant. Not in a spectacular way but from a tactical pov. He completely out-thought Paq. He'll never go down in history as a brawler but he'll be seen as one of the most intelligent fighters this (and perhaps any) sport's ever seen. I hated all the 'but Paq was injured' arguments. Most boxers are carrying an injury. If it's serious the fight's postponed if not you fight on. Mayweather's quetly been carrying injuries for years but he knows how to adapt accordingly. Paq didn't. The only question with Mayweather now is where he ranks among the sport's all-time greats. |
Paquiao had a bad shoulder injury two weeks before fight, kept it hidden, so all you suckers would bet big time and pay ridiculous amounts for pay per view. the fight was a fix. made it look good, lasting to a decision. this fight should have taken place 5 years ago.
|
you do not postpone a fight where both fighters expect to earn 100 MILLION dollars.

No way a fix. Just a condition of the sport. There won't be many big name boxers who haven't carried injuries in major fights - Mayweather included. It takes something like a broken arm to postpone a fight and no boxer will declare any lesser injury before-hand, knowing it'll only give their opponent a tactical advantage. Paq lost fair and square against a massively superior opponent. Yes the fight should've taken place 5 years ago but I'm not sure the outcome would've been all that different.

the Klitschko fight was just as boring to watch

Man, Rob. You're pics are reminding me how pretty America is. I'm getting a patriotic lump in my throat.

ha ha yes we have those every other 50 miles around here i finally had one (half, really, & like the ex-president i didn't inhale). it was nice, and the perique taste was there, but very faint. i'm used to stronger perique blends but it was like seeing a nice place from far away. i still got a slight dopamine kick that let me work a couple of extra hours last evening, ha ha. |
I really need to take a shit now.

gmku's pet peeve of the week: uptalk.
What is uptalk? it's ending every sentence like the one before this one, as if it's a question. I hear this so freaking much, and it is extremely annoying to me. People at work will go through an entire work conversation this way, letting their voice rise on the last or close to last syllable of every sentence. It makes me want to interrupt and say, "Is that a question?" And when they do ask a question, how do I tell the difference? "Oh. Is that a question?" |
I....HATE....THAT.....SHIT
I too find that a pet peeve. "So I was walking down the corridor, going to lunch? and I was like, all hungry? so I got me a burger and fries? but the ketchup bottle was empty?" I FUCKING hate that shit. I hate it almost as much as I hate when people speak as if they are idiots who stopped paying attentioon to English class in 4th grade. "She was like are you going? and I was like oh no, so I then was all like I am not gonna go, and she was like why?" as opposed to "She asked, "are you going?" and I thought "Oh no." so I said "I am not gonna go." and she asked "why?" NO ONE IS "LIKE" anything! How do people pass the ACT or SAT with language skills so shitty? |
I hear you, Rob. It's associated with other kinds of conversations, too, not just inane conversations, but as I say, serious work discussions, work conversations, teleconferences. It's like fingernails on chalkboard to me.
"So, we're going to host 82 internships? That will take a lot of coordination? and we have key partners? in communications, alumni relations, and the president's office? And thanks to Nate's hard work? we're forging ahead?" AAAARRGGGHHH |
I also hear really fast talk. Fortunately uptalk and fast talk don't go together, often. When they do, it's really crazy.
I am probably the only one in my office who speaks in deliberate, thoughtful tones, at a reasonable speed, and without the singsong uptalk lilt. My coworkers all probably just think I'm old and slow. |
