This seems to work for me

If you don't mind foreign commentary

I've got the Barca game which I've muted so I can listen to radio commentary in English.

Scratch that. Too many pop ups. Watching Arsenal now instead.

demonrail666 09.18.2013 04:20 PM

Massive slip-up for Chelsea. Loving it!

!@#$%! 09.18.2013 05:54 PM

fuck, just came back from the good internets hugely disappointed-- first, all the streams were shit and unwatchable (i can deal with blur but not with frozen video), two, weidenfeller got thrown out and dortmund lost HARD.

btw, i had no idea higuaín had moved to naples-- and benitez too!

anyway--

PAIN.

ps- at least bayern won yesterday. but i couldn't watch it.

Trama 09.19.2013 05:50 AM

You should have someone in India download and mail you the games.

Didn't see the Dortmund game but reports are saying the score flattered them. But then Napoli are a very good side at the moment.

All the headlines here are inevitably about Basel beating Chelsea. I love how the English press act disappointed when a big English club loses to a 'lesser' team when, in reality, the journalists seem to revel in it. Just like when it happens to the England side.

Love Klopp's angry-face

Haha.

Better team won and all that but it does feel horrible. Baines for England now though, must be, and surely Martinez will start Lukaku from now on.

h8kurdt 09.22.2013 11:18 AM

Oh United. After the good game on Tuesday, they do this miserable performance.

Shocking really. Although Man City were brilliant. When they click they look like a shoe-in for the Prem title. It's just if they click enough.

MU look shaky as fuck. It wasn't missing Van Persie, their midfield just isn't at it. Fellaini still needs to settle in but even if he does, it's still not that strong.

I'm hearing rumours that both Manchester teams want Iniesta, who hasn't renewed his contract at Barcelona.

http://metro.co.uk/2013/09/22/manche...iesta-4075749/

He's not quite what he was but he's still got some more seasons in him. He'd be a great signing for United. Don't see the need for another midfielder at city though. Maybe Pep wants to get him for El Bayern.

i doubt it will happen, he will re-sign. xavi has maybe one or at most two more seasons left. barca need iniesta now that thiago is gone forever.

but he would certainly make any team better.

demonrail666 09.23.2013 03:31 AM

So Paolo DiCanio is finally sacked. I predicted he'd be the first Prem manager to go and so it is. Results are one thing but his actions and the way he talked about the team were what made his positional untenable.

One of my absolute heroes as a player but, for perhaps the very reasons that made him such a cult figure on the pitch, he was never gonna cut it as a manager.

In the case of Ajax it's more like ATP "Don't Look Back", like some half-assed reunion of a legendary 70's band with one original member in the current line-up, rehashing the old days, playing inferior versons of their classic hit songs.

They lost twice by 4-0 this week, first against Barca and yesterday against PSV. It was a good week to be a Feyenoord fan.

shame. I was relying on him keeping Sunderland below us.

How long do you think Sam has left?

(I doubt we'll sack Holloway. No one expects anything unrealistic this season and he'd be a good a manager as anyone in the championship next season)

demonrail666 09.24.2013 02:03 AM

Haha, I was kind of relying on Sunderland being crap for the rest of the season under DiCanio, too.

Sam will be there at least till we move to the Olympic Stadium. Unless we're relegated before then. Can't say I'll miss him.

Holloway seems safe enough. Besides liking him, the problem is always gonna be finding a worthwhile replacement. The usual names, Curbishley, Warnock, etc, are hardly inspiring.

I dislike Spurs and Chelsea almost equally but I'd love to see Mourinho humbled by Villas Boas.

pad_023 09.28.2013 11:02 AM

Great result for albion today, matched Man Utd who looked very bereft of ideas.

Both goals were great, Amalfitano nutmegging Ferdinand and going on to chip the keeper was highly entertaining.

SonicBebs 09.28.2013 11:47 AM

We are fucked! Proper fucked.
We'll be down before Glen Murray gets back

Not one shot on target

I'm starting to think we might be joining you.

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 09.29.2013 03:16 PM

Wimbley just saw some real football, and a classic American goal line stand. Fuck the Steelers, glad to see them 0-4, for the first time in 35 years. Brilliant!

Bytor Peltor 09.29.2013 05:47 PM

Which team is Malcolm Glazier running into the ground quicker this year: Tampa Bay Buccaneers or Manchester United?

Don't know about the Buccaneers but they're definitely downsizing MU.

demonrail666 10.02.2013 03:01 AM

Man City v Bayern tonight

If Man City play the way they can (ie Kompany, Toure and Aguero all having a good night) Bayern might really struggle.

demonrail666 10.02.2013 01:58 PM

Big fuck up by Joe Hart

h8kurdt 10.02.2013 04:24 PM

Negredo's goal was *kisses finger Italian style* great though. Joe Hart has turned into a right butter fingers of late. Too many silly mistakes.

!@#$%! 10.02.2013 04:48 PM

3-1? is it true? oh sweetness.

demonrail666 10.02.2013 07:23 PM

Yeah, 3-1. Bayern looked very good, although it was also one of MC's all too regular off nights: their defence may as well have gift-wrapped at least two of Bayern's goals. City's problem looks like one of inconsistency. On their day I'm convinced they can challenge anyone but too often they self destruct, especially at the back. Equally, Bayern's strength this year may be that, while they might not be as strong or attractive to watch as they were last season, I still haven't seen them play badly yet. But I think all the realistic contenders for the trophy that I've seen so far look slightly weaker this year - ironically with the possible exception of Man City (assuming they're actually realistic contenders) and maybe Real and PSG. This definitely feels like a transition year in European football, at least. The management changes in the summer made that inevitable. I can see this being a vintage year for upsets and excitement and backroom intrigue but not necessarily in terms of quality.

!@#$%! 10.03.2013 04:06 PM

i saw the highlights. how come when the ingleses lose you guys say "oh, we played terrible" instead of "the other side played great"?

lovely goals all-around, from both sides.

and boateng red-carded? what did i say about beefing up the defense instead of more & more & more & more midfielders?

yeah. it's gonna be trouble.

demonrail666 10.04.2013 05:40 AM

I like to think I'm usually pretty even-handed and will often support a foreign club over certain English ones. In this instance I didn't have any strong feelings either way. I mentioned that I thought Bayern were very good but I can't ignore the fact that City made things pretty easy for them, especially when we've seen what they can do. You talk about 'lovely' goals but 2 of Bayern's 3 were the result of some terrible City defending. That's not to say Bayern didn't deserve to win, they did, but I was more disappointed with City than anything else.

!@#$%! 10.04.2013 06:53 AM

true the highlights don't show the whole game, but the papers wrote about "master class" by bayern etc. oh damn i hate to miss this. going bananas. but soon. SOON DAMMIT. well maybe not so soon ha ha ha.

anyway, in the highlights, i didn't think joe hart did a bad job though-- h8kurdt called him "butterfingers"? i mean ribery's shot was nearly as well placed as negredo's, and with that speed and where it bounced... uncatchable. then the ramdeuter's goal was great, almost south-american (ha ha)-- ZM sez from a poorly executed offside trap (there's the bad defense you mention, though that can happen to anyone). but seriously, at least in what i saw i can place no blame on joe hart. (i have great admiration for the guy so maybe i think he can do no wrong-- but at least in what i saw, not sure i can fault him-- the goal shots were within reach but hard/fast/etc.) ZM says it was the two MC strikers not helping on defense and bayern's dominance in the midfield that tilted the balance, but i have no way to agree or disagree with that. but butterfingers??
