hahaha.

HECKLER SPRAY 12.26.2008 07:12 PM

Should I buy Left for Dead ? A friend of mine said it was a blast.

acousticrock87 12.26.2008 07:20 PM

I haven't played it, but I've see people play it and I've heard it's awesome. I say go for it. I almost bought it, but then I didn't have a 360.

atsonicpark 12.26.2008 07:22 PM

I heard it's good too. Don't really like fps's but it looks better than most.

But yeah, there might be some failing-save copies floating around, since the game is gettin kinda old.

Hmmm... I'll be careful. It comes with the box in perfect condition though so I'm sure the previous owner took good care with it.

Oh and that happened to my old Pokemon games I bought in 1998. Good thing I bought the updated ones on the GBA.

HECKLER SPRAY 12.26.2008 07:27 PM

Thanks.
I'm not a big fan of FPS, but this one looks funny.

It seems that there isn't a lot PC gamers on the board.
Everybody has a DS, Wii, 360,...
Am I the last old cunt who's playing video games on my Pc ?

Derek 12.26.2008 07:35 PM

I hated Left For Dead. Just felt like another flashy nu-gamer type thing. No offense if you're into that!

And my PC is a few years old and it can't even handle the most basic of games. I'd rather play on something built for games.

I prefer PC. I just can't run shit on it anymore. I opted for a tablet instead of a gaming laptop. Half Life 2 was the last playable game for me.

Left 4 Dead
This video looks hilarious. I want to play it now.

HECKLER SPRAY 12.26.2008 07:41 PM

No problem Derek.
I'm just looking for a good online game and this one looks fun.
Like I said before, I'm not a big fan of FPS, like Crysis, Medal of Honor 175 or Call of Duty n°28...

What a mess !!!
That' s what I call a butchering !

acousticrock87 12.26.2008 07:52 PM

Yeah, I hate most FPS games, too. But this one seems more in the vein of Resident Evil 4 (which I loved), just in first person.

HECKLER SPRAY 12.26.2008 07:53 PM

Pcs are easy to upgrade, and it's not that expensive nowadays (except the last video cards), don't you think ?

acousticrock87 12.26.2008 08:00 PM

Yeah but not on laptops. And definitely not on this one (as far as I know). When I get another apartment with less than three other people, I'll get a desktop for games. But for now I'm stuck with my 128mb video card and a PS2.

HECKLER SPRAY 12.26.2008 08:11 PM

Yeah, that's right.

Well, Half Life 2 is not so bad after all. It's the only FPS I managed to finish.

atsonicpark 12.26.2008 08:58 PM

First person shooters really are the worst genre ever. The last one I really got into was Goldeneye.

_slavo_ 12.27.2008 05:10 AM

Fallout 2 rules hard.
That's my 2 cents into discussion.

HECKLER SPRAY 12.27.2008 05:17 AM

Totally agree.
I've heard there's a Russian team who's working on a online version.

Well, concerning the soundtrack, it's not so bad.
No, the biggest problem of this game is the lack of role playing.

mil_pl 12.27.2008 11:52 AM

I will see tomorrow fallout 3, I wasn't a big fan of the previous. but 3 rules, they say.
have you ever played Planscape: Torment? (my fav computer rpg)

al shabbray 12.27.2008 12:24 PM

System Shock and Bioshock, bitches.

Derek 12.27.2008 03:28 PM

don't forget Scissor Shock

acousticrock87 12.27.2008 03:30 PM

Bioshock was really cool for a while, but I got bored of it kind of quickly. Might just have been personal taste, though, cause I can't think of anything that was wrong with it.

Did anyone play Condemned? I only played the first hour, and thought it was pretty fucking good.

nicfit 12.27.2008 03:31 PM

oh and Far cry 2 is pretty awesome too, the game itself is not too great plotwise, but just going around, causing fires and stuff is great. The environment is amazing.

al shabbray 12.27.2008 05:35 PM

Kraaaaaang!!!!!

_slavo_ 12.27.2008 05:53 PM

sooooooonicccc!!!

Yeah, it's not so bad, maybe a bit repetitive.

ha ha, yes, but I think that "complaining" about the missions/plot is a bit pointless, to em the game is all about going around making rumble in the jungle ha ha :D!

yesssss, kraaaaaaaaaaang!
you like?

stu666 12.28.2008 12:30 PM

i like it nic but not as good as the monkey, did you have a good christmas btw?

nicfit 12.28.2008 12:33 PM

Mah, kinda weird, lots of things to do for the family (not Mafia stuff ;), but "serious" things, I just got home from some errands), no presents since I asked not to give me gifts, work to do...but I think I'll spend a nice ny eve in venice that will make up for the somewhat "unfunfilled" (wow, new word) Christmas.

p.s. the monkey is stored on 3 different hard drives to make sure I'll never lost it ha ha.

by the way, speaking of the Mafia stuff, I'm currently halfway through the "Gomorra" book by Roberto Saviano (sp?). It's pretty intense, has it been really that tough around Napoli in the past 10 or so years?

yes, the situation is a mess, underneath a semi normal surface it's creeping with malavita.... random people gets shot to death in the middle of the streets coz hitmen "miss" the guy they wanted to kill and stuff, almost on a daily basis. You can't go around on a motorcicle with the helmet on or they'll think you wanna murder someone keeping your face hidden and stuff.
I can't even imagine living there, and the bad thing is that people are wonderful and cities are amazing (even if quite messy from many povs)

little examples eh eh
