I'm not doing too well due to recent events. I deleted my main facebook but I've been using an alternate account to keep in contact with a few select people and handle my band pages but I'll send you a message on that sometime.

Slavo! How are you doing? You gotta visit Vienna sometime soon! Also, we want to book you!

enjoying the wax in the tub for a year now.

noisereductions 02.09.2014 09:58 AM

^that's brilliant.

Derek 02.10.2014 12:10 AM

My girlfriend took me out for sushi a day or two after I heard Adam died and I was totally not in the mood. Look at my goonish slack-jawed attempt at smiling. At least I'm wearing a Querelle t-shirt and Takeshi Kitano button.

!@#$%! 02.10.2014 12:22 AM

derek = harry potter = steve!

Derek 02.10.2014 01:06 AM

My band mates call me Steve Shelley all the time and burst out laughing when I take a shot at the drums. Harry Potter though, I haven't heard that one since I was bullied in high school and posted here everyday to ease the pain ahaha.

Toilet & Bowels 02.10.2014 02:38 AM

More Billy Bunter than Harry Potter

Derek 02.10.2014 03:38 AM

hey I'm not fat

floatingslowly 02.10.2014 04:26 AM

Gruss Gott, my friend.

I'm doing good, thanks for asking! Hope all is well with you as well.

Yes, I'd definitely like to see you again soon too. Vienna is not that far after all :) If you could book me for a gig, that would rock as well :)

btw. if you guys are interested, there's going to be a little festival of contemporary underground/avant/experimental music of Slovakia, this Saturday in Bratislava.

I'll play there too, some improvised stuff :)

Amazing how much one changes.

Here is myself, my lovely wife, and one of the Board of Directors at her work. This was us last Friday at an awards function/gala for my wife's work.

Yeah. I'm ok, i guess. Some friends of mine and me just started this kind of umbrella organisation for our booking activities (Psychic Vienna - yeah, kinda cheesy, i know). One of them, Shilla, she's organizing events as Struma+Iodine - best booker in Vienna atm (did tons of great stuff last year: Pete Swanson, Cam Deas, Asuna, Kwabata Makoto, etc). I thought, your stuff would be right up her alley, so I played some of your music to her. Watch out for a mail from her.
I might pressure her some more, haha.

Going to Donaufestival this year?

Apparently human flesh tastes very similar to pork - maybe the root of the reason so many cultures forbid its consumption. Either that or theyve had a proper nasty batch of pork scratchings with a pint of ale, thats enough to put anyone off.

noisereductions 02.12.2014 08:09 PM

yeah I love me some good beer. But no shame in slumming.

Even the American bowel movement has become sanitised.

EVOLghost 02.12.2014 08:36 PM

All this beer talk and a late start makes me want to pick up a 6 pack after work. Mickeys or high life. I dunno.

that's an unfair generalization, especially these days

"americans drink terrible coffee"

not since the 90s

"americans can't make good wine"

not since the 70s, then it got better and much more common

things used to be, are not any more, things change.

there are many great beers in america. people brew at home, microbreweries continue to pop up everywhere, and we even have some mass-produced stuff at supermarkets that's really good (sam adams, sierra nevada, fat tire, shiner, etc).

it's a big country so there's plenty of room for shit drinks, but it's also big enough that you can find decent american beer in any supermarket these days.

HOWEVER, if you want to chase around good ales, and stouts, and other non-mass-produced concoctions, they aren't at the supermarket, but you can start here:

http://www.ratebeer.com/Ratings/TopAmerican.asp

Rob Instigator 02.13.2014 11:49 AM

at least 'mericans do not drink their beer at room temperature!

Rob Instigator 02.13.2014 12:38 PM
