Can you imagine a team with a starting five of Shaq, Jordan, Dream, and then Worthy and Stockton moving the ball around?

Jesus. That would make the Earth shake Shaq would play Center I guess and Dream would play Power Forward. shot blocks, no layups, pain

whoa.. did Dream just back me up and pick Shaq as his center??

Rob Instigator 03.25.2015 02:23 PM

yep. dang

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 03.25.2015 02:39 PM

I told you shaq is a beast yo, even if i was 7' or taller i wouldn't fuck with that ninja on the court yo... now Dream had all those fanciful post up moves so he could shake Shaq up but against anybody else?? Well, there is a reason Shaq has 4 ringz..

Again i love Hakeem and true he beat young shaq head on in Finals, indeed Hakeem put that Rockets team on the map.. i just wish Morley wouldn't be so scared to share Hakeem's "summer camp" i mean look at what he did for lebron and amare? Hakeem could not only significantly improve the NBA as a whole but also help bring back the big man because his post up and on the block skills fit perfectly into the pace&space era

Rob Instigator 03.25.2015 03:00 PM

Morley got sick of Dream teaching the opponents bigs. ha!

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 03.25.2015 03:21 PM

He did and i get it BUT the NBA needs Hakeem yo! After all, it ain't like Dwight gives two shits about Dream School yo

Rob Instigator 03.25.2015 03:26 PM

dwight does not seem to give two shits about any fucking thing. The rockets are 19-7 without him these past 26 games!

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 03.25.2015 03:48 PM

And montejunas has been giving fucks and working with Hakeem..

They did it two nights ago......CONGRATULATIONS to the Golden State Warriors for wrapping up the Pacific Division. The last time they did so, Gerald Ford was president.

Another Rocket win with another Grizzly loss = Houston just a half game behind Memphis for the second seed......Rockets also clenched a playoff spot tonight!

ROCKETS SET 3-POINT RECORD

With their 44 attempts from behind the arc, the Rockets set an NBA record with 2,392 attempts in a season, passing the 2012-13 New York Knicks, which put up 2,371 shots from beyond the arc. Houston also extended their NBA-record for games with 15-plus 3-pointers made in a season with their 15th game making that many.

Bytor Peltor 04.02.2015 08:51 AM

DeMarcus Cousins paying respect to James Hardens carrier high 51 point night:

OKC is 2-5 in Russell Westbrooks 40+ pt games while Houston is 7-1 in Harden's......that means something!

Most Games with 40 3-pt attempts this season:

Rockets 12
Cavaliers 1
Warriors 1
Blazers 1
Mavericks 1
76ers 1
Pistons 1

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 04.02.2015 12:29 PM

Hey finally harden manages to score an honest 40 points and only made 11 free throws ;)

Rob Instigator 04.02.2015 01:09 PM

first Houston Rocket to score 50+ pts in a game twice in one season.

Now he should try for Dreams quadruple double.

can you imagine a 7 footer today getting 2.6 steals average per game in a season? DREAM

Rob Instigator 04.02.2015 01:15 PM

I LOVE this move https://youtu.be/4OBOatJ5P_g?t=2m6s

In this era I can't even imagine a big getting major minutes! Hassan Whiteside is the first 7 footer to actually have a significant OFFENSIVE impact since Andrew Bynum!! And defensively? My Lord, I just keep seeing dudes try to drive on Whiteside in the lane and get dropped like a bug on a windshield on a road trip across mid-Texas!!!

The best was I've seen Whiteside drop Lebron TWICE this season now.. I mean, I've seen Lebron drive on EVERY center in the NBA, and he has never been dropped like that in his career against ANYONE defending him, let alone TWICE this year??? Whiteside is a beast yo. I hope he continues to develop and progress, he can save the big man in the NBA since Roy Hibbert has been such a terrible and inept bust!

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 04.02.2015 05:07 PM

In the mind of Steve Nash.. bball poetry.. its amazing how fundamentally different Nash era PGs operate compared to the previous legends like Magic and Stockton.. Nash makes even those HOF greats look simplistic in their approach by comparison

Harden's 13 FT attempts last night is just slightly ahead of his season average.

Making 16 of 25 shot attempts = great effencey!
Sinking 8 of 9 from behind the 3pt line = on fire!!

Nice win in Dallas tonight, where Rockets capped off their last of four games in five nights of the season......only loss was by three at Toronto Monday night.

I would love to see that!

Points Per Games By Harden This Season

Thirty: 30+ point games

Nine: 40+ point games

Two: 50+ point games.

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 04.03.2015 12:48 PM

Stop killing my thread with all this Harden propaganda.

Games where Harden shot more than 20 free throws: 10
Games where Harden shot less than 10 and couldn't score an honest 20 points: 6

The Beard should fear the refs.. if they stop blowing whistles his way his game wilts to nick young level

Rob Instigator 04.06.2015 04:45 PM

Consider this: in the rich history of the NBA, it has only happened five times that a player as averaged at least two steals and three blocks per game for an entire season. Have a look at the players who accomplished the feat (listed chronologically):

Player Season SPG BPG
Hakeem Olajuwon 1985-86 2.0 3.4
Hakeem Olajuwon 1988-89 2.6 3.4
Hakeem Olajuwon 1989-90 2.1 4.6
Hakeem Olajuwon 1990-91 2.2 3.9
David Robinson 1991-92 2.3 4.5

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 04.06.2015 05:16 PM

I always found it ironic that statistically so many of the all-time greats put up their best numbers in all the years they WEREN'T winning championships

Bytor Peltor 04.07.2015 03:13 PM

Last week when torching Sacramento for 51 points, James Harden became just the third active player and 13th overall to join an exclusive club:

2000 points / 500 assists in a season

The three active players:

Dwayne Wade
LeBron James
James Harden

Rest Of The Group (all in the HOF)

Pete Maravich
Jerry West
Oscar Robinson
Allen Iverson
Michael Jordan
Larry Bird
?
?
?
?
can't recall the other names right now, but you get the idea (one cat was from the 50's that I had never heard of)

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 04.07.2015 03:19 PM

Im having fun trolling the harden FanBoys on twitter..

Bytor Peltor 04.07.2015 10:26 PM

Tonight, Golden State lost their last road game of the season over in New Orleans. With their final four games of the season at home and with the Warriors hosting the first round of the playoffs, Golden States next road game won't come for another 13-14 days. This prolonged period of time with no travel will be very beneficial in the second and third rounds of the post season.

Not that I'm all that surprised, just a nod to what the San Antonio Spurs are currently doing winning their eighth in a row tonight at OKC.

130-91 OKC
94-76 Dallas
103-89 Memphis
95-81 @Miami
103-91 @Orlando
123-93 Denver
107-92 Golden State
113-88 @OKC

Everyone of these wins were by double digits......Rockets play at San Antonio tomorrow (Wednesday)

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 04.07.2015 11:15 PM

They beat up on a bunch nobodies and teams having an end of season slump, get back at me when they win something meaningful..

Another double digit victory for the Spurs.

They've now won nine in a row and 19 of 22......seven of the nine against teams that are making the playoffs.

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 04.08.2015 10:40 PM

This Spurs team have done all this before and yet still been knocked out of the playoffs more than twice as many times as they've won the championship (12 knock outs including in the 1st round, 5 rings) and they have NEVER won back-to-backs so....

Remember losing to Mavs? Remember that 1st round exit to the Grizzlies? Remember losing the West Finals to Thunder? Remember losing Game 7 to Heat?? Yeah, sure they won the championship last year, and I respect that, sincerely, BUT it doesn't mean I'm sipping their kool aid just yet. Their "dynasty" is still behind the 90s Bulls, 2000s Lakers, and even the 2010s Heat.. shit even behind the 90s Rockets!

"and then Spurs said they were a dynasty"

Bytor Peltor 04.09.2015 01:43 AM

Only an ignorant slut would start bitching and moaning about dynasty's in April.

The Spurs, along with everyone else are simply playing out their schedule. This is the time of year when you want to be winning, clicking on all cylinders headed for the post season. Hell, if the Spurs win in Houston tomorrow, they might just have a chance to grab ahold of the number two spot in the West.

Big props to Golden State for having the best record this season, but there is no doubt the Spurs are the team playing the best right now! Winning number six or getting knocked out......time will tell!

OH - for the past 16 consecutive seasons, the San Antonio Spurs have won 50 or more games, such an impressive thing to do in the West!!!

And yet it was you talking about their accolades, bragging about their usual march april prowess, and posting the snarky pic of their championship of junes past..

I simply trash talked back about how they have looked good every march and april for what seems like centuries now and yet have had some big losses so.....

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 04.10.2015 01:12 AM

Heat gave up what could have been essentially a playoff lock.. out of gas

schizophrenicroom 04.10.2015 08:49 PM

i'm at the point i just want the heat to lose out for a better draft pick, don't deserve a playoff spot with the kinda play the other night

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 04.10.2015 11:15 PM

Damn it now i have to hear all this nonsense about the spurs.. at least it knocked Harden off his high horse

Bytor Peltor 04.12.2015 07:59 AM

While the Spurs continue to do Spur things (win), I'm reminded that the last time the Rockets won a NBA Championship......they did so as the 6th seed and the MVP and his #1 seeded team were defeated in the Western Conference Finals!
