Yeah I think I’m too old to know properly. |
"Blue Monday" is electronic music, isn't it? Yeah, I say it is. So a remix of it plays during the Wonder Woman 1984 trailer:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfM7_JLk-84 This probably belonged in the comic book thread or even the "completely irrelevant" thread, but man oh man Gal Gadot... When God has a good day, the guy has a GOOD DAY. And I don't even believe in God. |
christ, keep it in your pants man

I'm not the one posting pictures of underage girls as hot chicks. |
a) it's 404'd, and b) alright, I'll admit it was a poor move, but she's the same age as I am.

Corrected. For the worse... |
Anyway, moving on from accusing underage people of being pedophiles...
new Squarepusher! It's called Be Up a Hello and from the two songs I've listened to so far, filled with his usual manic drum 'n' bass. Very chipper though? ![]() |
New Against All Logic (aka Nicolas Jaar) album “2017-2019” is fucking ferocious weirdo house with some excellent sinister tones.
I prefer it to the AAL album from 2018 (which was called “2012-2017”), but not to Nicolas Jaar’s stuff released under his own name, like Space is Only Noise or Nymphs or SIRENS (especially SIRENS). But it’s goddamn good. AND has a Lydia Lunch feature! Horrid cover art but good shit indeed: ![]() |

This is the album of the year in my opinion thus far. Btw. |

Anna Calvi has a new album coming on March 6. By virtue of being Anna Calvi, it's already the album of the year, and all y'all's choices can compete for second place. :D |

Hey! My gastropub!
New Special Request singles, new Insides, new Mica Levi out this year. |

Husbands and boyfriends always get in the way of fun, though. |

Have you heard his stuff? Last year he released 3 projects, but one, “Rakka,” was fucking insane. |
Quote:
I have not, but I wasn't talking about music. :D |

Crazily enough, I just found out Vladislav Delay has a new album — Rakka II — coming out soon. |
There’s a new Darkside album coming, motherfuckers. New Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington. Who = Darkside. Who made Psychic. Yep. Good shit

Interesting. I have this 12": ![]() I assume it's the same Darkside... |
Filmmaker has just released two, maybe three new LP's one of which is predominantly constructed with vintage synth sounds wonderfully detuned to mangled tape warble destruction. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NOXzNzcP1M
Some of his albums don't register with me at all but the ones that do approach AFX and Boards of Canada aesthetic in terms of melody and construction. For such a short period of time in activity his discography is huge. What's everyone's favourite album(s)? |
Shit thread, lol

Whole board's been pretty much dead for about three days or so. Possible causes:
a) Everyone's too anxious about their Covid Coins b) Everyone's too anxious about the Snyder Cut c) Everyone's too anxious about Meghan Markle |

3 days? I make it about 8 years lel. At a time when there's fuck all to do outside because of lockdown restrictions you would think this place would be a bit more lively but naw, there are retirement homes with more spunk than this place. It used to be thriving with footfall and dozens of people posting by the dozen every day. If it were on it's last legs back in 2015 when Rob pointed it out then it's certainly dead and buried nuw, it's like we are the zombie's returning to the mall in Dawn of the Dead purely out of habit (and because there's no more room in hell of course ;). Ignorance is rife, and it's not just shit that I post going unanswered, it's everyone, yet it's probably par the course for the amount of people left who incidentally have better things to do. I had a few ideas for threads I wanted to make on Post-Punk and Kiyoshi Kurosawa but in the end realised the reality permeating this place and sacked them off as it would just be a waste of time. A shame, really ...for there a brighter sides (other forums - lel) to life and I should know because I've seen them but not very often... |

Yeah, it doesn’t get tons of participation, I’ll grant you that. I liked Eternal Return a lot, and the new EP slaps. |

Well, for what it's worth, I'm digging King Felix's Spring. King Felix being Laurel Halo, but not to be confused with Laurel Halo's King Felix. :D
