this game is way too brilliant for its own good. Made by the creator of one of the best games ever made, OUT OF THIS WORLD (aka ANOTHER WORLD).

Out Of This/Another World is amazing.
Flashback is good too.

I got both on the genesis, and I love them.
I remember their graphical style blew my mind back in the days. amazingly fluid animation and some kind of surreal (another world) setting.
really dug the cyberpunkish story of flashback.
unfortunately never played through another world!

I just gave it a try for the hyperstone heist.
I love turtles in time, and they are both pretty expansive on ebay here (between 20 and 30 euros). looking forward to hear the genny soundtrack!

I dont mind ultimate soccer and already got the lion king but anything else is pretty awesome especially for that ridiculous price. I am sure there is someone pretty mad bout an auction "gone wrong" hahaha

obviously without the touch pen thingie you cant play DS games on your computer but is it really worth paying for one and getting a Rcard?

I'd go with a DS, myself. Or better yet... hold out for the 3DS.

It's backwards compatible with the DS, and will probably fully overtake Nintendo's portable development plans within the next year. So, if you're looking for a new portable to keep up with the times, I wouldn't purchase a DS so close to the end of its developmental lifespan. I'd wait for the 3DS and maybe pick up a GBA SP (only $25 - $40 around here) to tie me over until then... but that's just me.

hmmmm....I'd say you're right....but the 3ds is gonna be pretty expensive especially now that DSLites can be found for like 70 USD(like new!). and if NNik wants to get an R4 card then it'll cost him a little more since the DSi's use a different one and a R4 for the 3DS won't come out for another while.....

oh yeh, and I heard Nintendo is also making the 3DS less pirate friendly...

definately go for the ds.
its absolutely my favourite platform of the actual generation!
and the standard (lite) is the best version imo. you can actually play GBA games with it which enhances the library for a 1000 games and there are really some of the best games ever made on it.
also the bigger screens of the XL let some games look pixelated!

I always think it best to get into a console a bit later in its life. This is the perfect time to get a DS. My advice: get a phat or Lite since you can still play GBA games on it too. There's a shit ton of GBA and DS games to be had used for super cheap now. AND there's still new DS games being released steadily.

I couldn't help but notice that the high street video game retailer, Game, isn't selling pre-owned PS2 games anymore. It's a bugger.

I don't know, I don't think there are enough games to convince me to keep it. Plus it doesn't play Advance games which pisses me off.

The only game I really want to play other than ones with stupid mini games is New Super Mario Bros.

I've looked at a ton of DS game reviews and there isn't a whole lot that sticks out to me. It was kind of an impulse buy. Do any of you DS players have any must play suggestions for it??
