i feel stupid for having an ancient in-joke as my e-mail display name or whatever. it's on an almost deserted account i rarely use... but now i'm using it, writing to a guy about starting a band. i mean, i changed it to my real name, but only after i'd sent my first reply. hopefully he pays more attention to the content/the "- Anna" at the bottom, and not the "basil mcjagger the third" at the top. meep.

I have sort of the same problem with e-mail I send from Gmail. I have my 5 other e-mail accounts tied to it. The only real problem is the one I use for school. I have all my school mail/e-mail routed to Gmail because the university's e-mail client is a constantly-down version of Outlook. Now every e-mail I send has this (or some variate depending on which address) is the address line: From: (e-mail that I want to use) courtesy of (Gmail address) It's difficult for people that have no online contact with me to know that I'm Sonic Youth 37 everywhere except AIM.
