Pretty damn sweet wall of sound. Keep up the good stuff! :) |
I've been working on quite a few tracks during my SYG absence throughout the last few months:
We'll Always Have Halloween (Rough Demo) - A moody, jangly guitar-based demo with spherical backing synths. I was going for a kind of mid-80s The Cure vibe. Trying to rework the arrangement for a future release. But In My Dreams ... - An experimental, almost Ambient or Post-Rock track with a backmasked transistor bass sample as its basis as well as tape hiss and a mini-kalimba loop. Outrun The Night (Demo) - Pretty much baritone-laden Jangle Pop with synth backing. I want to return to this some time in the future. Anthracite Veneer - A watery Darkwave affair. Looped acoustic guitar with consistent "crashing" industrial percussion. A friend described it as somewhat SWANS-esque. Can't deny some possible subliminal influences. Due to be released as a single soon with one or two B-sides. There's also an earlier demo version with slight alterations in the lyrics. |
thank you! i've checked out your links. very nice indeed!

Thanks. Feedback is always highly appreciated. :) |
I made a Post/Noise-punk, Outsider (naturally) album.
Influences: Lip filler, fake eyelashes, supermarket trolleys abandoned on the estate and finally the phrase "That's not tears running down her face, It's glue". Earth Cunt |

Good stuff :D Dig the distortion and the overall vibes. Hey, am I mixing things up or did you reply to one of my posts here at some point? I remember wanting to reply to it, but then I kind of went AWOL from the board for a while and when I returned, I didn't see it anymore. |
Thank you!
I did, although I have a tendency to delete posts when I update links and/or become disillusioned with song mixes. I think I compared your stuff to Civic Center, or more so the vocalists' project, Understudy, and also suggested a collab. Speaking of which I'm in the midst of writing with a Spain's got talent finalist on some Flamenco-Punk. Lel. #flex :o |
Two new songs:
The unfortunate influences are alcohol, the Fall, Morrissey yodeling, Kraftwerk, Sonic Youth, Joy Division, the Garden and more alcohol, I reckon. split personality |

Cool, so I haven't been imagining things :D Hey, if the offer is still good and legit, I'd be willing to try. Otherwise: no worries. |
I just dropped a new single on Bandcamp. The main track is sort of Dream Pop/Ethereal Wave inspired. Trying on something different for a change. Still a pretty fucking lo-fi home recording, but I kind of like how it turned out. Track 2 is a minimalistic synth dirge of sorts. Probably the closest to my usual oeuvre. Track 3 is a cut from a jam I had with a good friend last September. It's rough, somewhat bluesy and kind of Lou Reed-inspired. I have a band now too, but we're trying to work things out right now. |

Live single from a couple months ago, recorded to cassette at a show in Minneapolis.
