oh yeah, i make a whey shake as prebreakfast, just in a cheap blender bottle with some creatine added, but it's not a smoothie proper. too much cleanup for me at that hour plus i got rid of my electric blender years ago, chose to keep the food processor instead, way more use for the space consumed, and then the compact blenders have not convinced me yet
oatmeal i prefer in the evening due to the soothing nature of carbs and their sleepy effect. or at least from early afternoon onwards, for relaxation. oatmeal is good for serotonin production, helps ward off depression and anxiety and that sort of thing. but also it just helps to sleep
i'm up very early in the morning (or sometimes stay up all night and keep it rolling, like the other day) and usually don't stop to eat a solid meal until i'm done with stuff, which is maybe noon, maybe mid-morning, depending. but protein and fat and salt and some nonstarchy veg are my thing at these early hours, or else i crash
