i don't know
they shouldn't have cut that song from nevermind, they should have put that in place of polly for the end of side one

atsonicpark 07.21.2009 10:22 AM

Trying to remember,
But my feelings can’t know for sure.
Try to reach out
But it’s gone...

Lucky stars in your eyes...
I’m walking the cow...

I really don’t know how I came here...
I really don’t know why I’m stayin’ here...
Oh, Oh, Oh. I’m walking the cow...

Tried to point my finger,
But the wind keeps blowin’ me around
In circles...circles...

Lucky stars in your eyes...
I’m walking the cow...

I really don’t know what I have to fear...
I really don’t know why I have to care...
Oh, Oh, Oh. I’m walkin’ the cow...
Lucky stars in your eyes...

I'd have to disagree.
Gish + SD = Epic (I hate when people say epic, but really they are)
MCIS = Mediocre
Adore = Great
Machina I = Okay
Machina II = Good
Zeitgeist = Terribly Awful, everything about it is just wrong for me.

I'd really have to agree with The Grateful Dead though. I never liked them.

yeah, right.

when a non-funk album is described as having a 'slight funk influence', it's almost certainly a pile of shit

automatic bzooty 07.21.2009 04:43 PM

if it's more than slight, is it good?

i.e. most dance-y post punk groups

Also when a band/solo artist/DJ is "finding the funk", it usually indicates that they're desperate to rip off of True funk in order to bolster their lame-ass sound.

demonrail666 07.21.2009 04:45 PM

^^probably not. there's ok stuff out there (i imagine) but as a general rule of thumb...

Even though I usually side with NWA in terms of influence and originality, I see where you come from stating you're opinion. NWA are one of those groups where people who grew up with them or were impressed by them will be die-hard fans/followers. Where as people who know who they are and can name a couple of songs, usually just ''fuck tha police'' and ''straight outta compton'', will dismiss the group as overrated and irrelevant.

Keep in mind that in the early 90s the was a certain template rock songs had to adhere to, and most of Nirvana's more interesting material didn't fit that template.

I remember reading that Kurt wanted to end each side with a quiet acoustic number. I'd put this in instead of Stay Away, which if you ask me is a lame attempt at a punk song that doesn't get really good until the end. It'd have to be remixed though...

The Chameleons are among the finest bands to ever have picked up a guitar.
