Satan 10.01.2009 07:19 PM

i'll let you know when i make my decision.

the lower east side is the opposite of lame.

Satan 10.01.2009 07:38 PM

yeah i decided i can't leave manhattan. i just can't do it.

plus the old aqua tile bathroom (the tub + toilet + sink match!) totally sold me

Satan 10.01.2009 07:55 PM

no, it's really not. the east village yes. noho, the bowery, yes. most of the lower east side is comparatively ghetto (without being really that ghetto but i'm not moving to queens or the bronx so fuck you). i used to live on chrystie st. i know this shit.

anyway i like the neighborhood regardless of the increasing gentrification which you can't escape from ANYWHERE in new york. it's settled, no one can change my mind, i'm selling this shitpile and going back to where i belong.

Satan 10.01.2009 08:12 PM

you're not being helpful at all.

those people are everywhere in the entire city. the lower east side is not a cultural center, new york city is a cultural center. i'm not moving back because it's punk or cool or whatever although it is certainly cooler than my current residence, i'm moving there because i used to live there and i like it. i don't like being surrounded by people with faces full of collagen and botox and plastic tits carrying around pomeranians in their fucking versace handbags taking cabs and car services everywhere. i hate rich people. i like the puerto ricans yelling AY GRINGA at me on the street and the graffiti everywhere and abandoned stores. plus, my dealer's right around the corner.

you can take brooklyn and shove it up your ass.

Satan 10.01.2009 08:29 PM

i know how many rich kids are around there because i'm friends with all of them but they don't carry dogs around and act like rich assholes.
you obviously didn't hear me. i'm not living in any of the other boroughs. ever.

Toilet & Bowels 10.01.2009 08:31 PM

cantankerous, where do you really live?

Satan 10.01.2009 08:32 PM

73rd street

don't call me cantankerous

woah, i can't believe i missed this shite.

i used to think that the lower east side/china town area was "ghetto"....until I moved to Baltimore. new york city is so gentrified it makes me want to vomit. on one hand, i'm desperate to move back whereas on the other i worry that i'll loose all hope in humanity all over again.

i was on 73rd street a couple of times when i visited two weeks ago. i kept keeping my eye out for you. be back in the upper hell soon. zabars, botex and anorexia...the defining culture of my adolescence...

Satan 10.01.2009 11:25 PM

i mean ok i totally went on a rant there
but its like if i'm going to live in manhattan i might as well find somewhere i like to live vs somewhere i find repulsive you know. if i wanted to be surrounded by that i would move to LA.

LES is not 'real' ghetto, there is no real ghetto actually in manhattan if you ask me. its become very gentrified. thank you rudy giuliani :fuckyou:

anyway whats up people.
who here is actually wasted??

notyourfiend 10.02.2009 07:22 AM

^ actually, according to this website (http://www.walletpop.com/insurance/m...-neighborhoods) the worst neighborhood in nyc is in upper Manhattan - the neighborhood surrounding the intersection of St. Nicholas Ave./125th St. there, you have a 1 in 9 chance of being a victim of crime. it's the 18th worst neighborhood in america.

of course, whenever i go into my office, i pass the 5th worst neighborhood in america.

the lower east side, however, has just has many rich people as the upper west side. it's just a different type. youthful yuppies instead of bulimic lawyers.

Genteel Death 10.07.2009 02:41 PM

"Dan---for God's sake! The pit of the shoggoths! Down the six thousand steps . . . the abomination of abominations . . . I never would let her take me, and then I found myself there---Iä! Shub-Niggurath!---The shape rose up from the altar, and there were five hundred that howled---The Hooded Thing bleated 'Kamog! Kamog!'---that was old Ephraim's secret name in the coven---I was there, where she promised she wouldn't take me---A minute before I was locked in the library, and then I was there where she had gone with my body---in the place of utter blasphemy, the unholy pit where the black realm begins and the watcher guards the gate---I saw a shoggoth---it changed shape---I can't stand it---I'll kill her if she ever sends me there again---I'll kill that entity---her, him, it---I'll kill it! I'll kill it with my own hands!"

yeah yeah yeah. i never said the lower east side was a bad neighborhood. i said it was a worse neighborhood. it happens to be somewhere i would rather spend my time. if you have a problem with that take it to the complaint department.
you want to see ghetto shit go to east or north st louis. new york is like child's play.

Satan 10.07.2009 06:51 PM

its not even dangerous, it just disgusts me a whole lot less

verme (prevaricator) 10.07.2009 06:54 PM

i'm pretty wasted. not from narcotics, though.

pbradley 10.07.2009 08:26 PM

I'm starting to belong in this thread.

phoenix 10.08.2009 12:46 AM

my body is wasted through no real fault of my own.

I kind of can't talk, and Im not sure why. my throat BURNS, since the middle of the night..

DeadDiscoDildo 10.08.2009 12:56 AM

^^My throat is terrible right now too...its mono tho, not strep...almost hurts worse than strep.

phoenix 10.08.2009 01:09 AM

I dont have mono.

It feels like I've been puking for hours or smoked 2 pack of cigs overnight.

alteredcourse 10.08.2009 01:10 AM

Everyone has been talking WAY MORE about how sick they feel the second they feel sick this year.

Or am I just talking about how much I'm noticing people talking about people being sick this year?

Ah, fuck it. Let HeeNee run through me, til I can bite others with it with my pig faced hands.

pbradley 10.08.2009 11:00 PM

I'm a bit tipsy and in a foul mood.

I want to be drunk.

pbradley 10.09.2009 12:18 AM

I'd like to make use of my enemies by lining them up in single file and gouging out all their eyes.

alteredcourse 10.09.2009 12:24 AM

Yes. Fuck their faces with ice picks.

Is this a general thing, or is someone doing you wrong ?

Are you wasted yet, or do you have to simmer in your rage ?

pbradley 10.09.2009 12:37 AM

It's a consecutive annoyance thing.

I'm waiting to drink, once certain persons leave the premises.

pbradley 10.09.2009 01:35 AM

Getting drunk, listening to Elliott Smith to the first time in my life.

A little surprising the similarities he and I share.

Edit: You only ever know what it means to drink once you have drunken alone.

What? You can tell me. It's me, right? Fine, ok, ok, I'll go.
Fuck.

AmerkianG is suited up and ready to thunder !

alteredcourse 10.09.2009 01:38 AM

^ sorry, that didnt make any sense. Clouds dont 'suit up'. They condense and precipitate.

Elliott Smith is certianly someone you can fall in love with. But also someone you can go for a mad break from and throw his dishes around for him being so self-obsessed.

Which are you listening to ?

pbradley 10.09.2009 01:39 AM

Either/Or.

Fuck.

Not you. People "irl."

They are gone now, like ghosts wished away.

alteredcourse 10.09.2009 02:04 AM

Sorry pee-diddles, my feigned defensiveness didnt work.

That reminds me of one of my favorite of Smith's songs, between the bars

Drink up baby, stay up all night
With the things you could do
You won't but you might
The potential you'll be that you'll never see
The promises you'll only make
Drink up with me now
And forget all about the pressure of days
Do what I say and I'll make you okay
And drive them away
The images stuck in your head

The people you've been before
That you don't want around anymore
That push and shove and won't bend to your will
I'll keep them still

Drink up baby, look at the stars
I'll kiss you again between the bars
Where I'm seeing you there with your hands in the air
Waiting to finally be caught
Drink up one more time and I'll make you mine
Keep you apart, deep in my heart
Separate from the rest, where I like you the best
And keep the things you forgot

The people you've been before
That you don't want around anymore
That push and shove and won't bend to your will
I'll keep them still

pbradley 10.09.2009 02:12 AM

That song is disgustingly true.

alteredcourse 10.09.2009 02:22 AM

I know.

I'm going to bed, see you later P

pbradley 10.09.2009 02:25 AM

g'night.

pbradley 10.09.2009 03:01 AM

Life is an A to B purgatory. Wisdom dispensed with weights from the usurpers of that shameful ivory tower. I am an ice cutter who will never reach home. That God who is the compass spins in the only eternal motion that I know, in a circle at a dizzying speed.

pbradley 10.09.2009 03:20 AM

No friend of worth lets another friend drink alone.

But people with their discretions.

pbradley 10.09.2009 03:45 AM

I remember the first time I drank alone.

It was a half a bottle of Grey Goose we stole from a senior party. Going to the cafeteria freely drunk was like skinny dipping at the public pool. Sheer freedom.

pbradley 10.09.2009 05:07 AM

I drink now in anti-me.

Another thing no one admits. Self-destruction.

pbradley 10.09.2009 05:13 AM

Budweiser is a poor choice for the moment.

pbradley 10.09.2009 05:20 AM

I love a lot of bullshit beer, if those are your words.
