EDIT::nevermind, i have this show.

by the way, anyone have any animal collective shows from around 2000/2001?

atari 2600 08.21.2006 08:58 PM

the sound quality of the Paris '06 Cat Power show is great. it's from the pa or a soundboard.
The Bonnaroo torrent recently was her with The Memphis Rhythm Band, so this stripped-down set (return to form) is pretty nice to hear right now.

Let's keep this thread alive and thriving, alright?

Does anyone have any Muddy Waters live stuff?

Пятхъдесят Шест 08.22.2006 10:44 PM

Its worth asking, but my guess is no. Someone should though.

finding nobody 08.22.2006 10:46 PM

yeah... I've got Kurt Cobain's "Fecal Matter" demos. It's a pretty fun listen.
I could up that for someone?

Пятхъдесят Шест 08.22.2006 10:49 PM

Not something I'd be interested in, but I'm sure you'd have some takers.

I'm trying to think of something I could upload. Eh.

Savage Clone 08.23.2006 12:02 PM

Radiohead
2006-Jun-03
Hummingbird Center
Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Hope someone is interested in this, a show from their recent tour where they debuted a bunch of songs from their as-yet-unfinished forthcoming album, while they also rocked overlooked classics like "climbing up the walls", "let down" and "kid a" (they also play "paranoid android", "karma police", "fake plastic trees" and "idioteque" so keep it in your pants). this is by far the best sounding radiohead boot i have ever heard mostly because it's a 3 source matrix (all aud)...you'd think it was a studio retouched major label live album on how clear the sound is. well, enjoy!

disc 1: http://www.badongo.com/file/1279143
disc 2: http://www.badongo.com/file/1279591

thanks for the animal collective, bonnie 'prince' billy, cat power and pink floyd.

atari: how good are those muddy waters boots, performancewise?

TheDom 08.23.2006 04:53 PM

Disc 2 up now.

I'm really only looking for Hendrix shit. But I just like coming in this thread and seeing stuff that might be interesting, like that Radiohead show you just upped. I've never heard Radiohead, so this will probably be my introduction to them. So thanks for it!

I got Sun Ra/Don Cherry coming up next. Real short, only about 7 minutes, but somebody must want it.

I'd like that, if you don't mind.
Thanks for the Radiohead, Everynuerotic.
I'll try to upload something that might be of interest.

Everyneurotic 08.23.2006 11:36 PM

no prob, just giving a little back.

i thought it was something people might be interested in, hearing some of radiohead's new songs (back to basics rock n' roll or perhaps that's the way they are sounding right now because of the live setting?) and also give one of the most crystal clear live recordings by them i have ever heard.

i'm stumped for something else to upload, any requests?

nicfit 08.24.2006 03:30 AM

thanks for the radiohead EN,i can't keep up with all the recordings surfaing on dimeadozen or what,so it's nice to have someone "seleting" and sharing the better ones ;)

I didn't like the Ra/Cherry thing that much, but Smoking Blues is amazing.

There was also an SY 95 show and a Sunburned Hand Of The Man show upped on their recently.
I'll be upping the Sunburned show for the board tomorrow.

atari 2600 08.24.2006 10:04 PM

I have others from that pf period, but that one does indeed sound the best. it's great to have one so heavy on keyboardist Rick Wright. It's one of those bootlegs that transport you so that one feels like they are actually there at the show.

I listened to the '79 muddy waters tonight. it's the muddy waters blues band & it's high-energy roadhouse blues for the most part. johnny winter comes out during track 7, and stays for the rest of the set; they do mannish boy.

the '76 one is two discs of muddy waters with the chicago blues band & they do a greater number of his more well-known songs except there's no mannish boy. the music is amazing though, the sound quality even better & it's better overall than the '79 one.

the sound quality on both is great because they were taped from fm broadcasts. The performance quality on each is also top-notch. I suppose I'll do both & have the links by tomorrow.

I have the 3rd disc of the ac living in a word comp if no one else gets to that one.

finding nobody 08.25.2006 08:58 AM

Gracias. This recording is ace!

Everyneurotic 08.25.2006 10:42 AM

thanks a lot atari!!!

will definitely download these, muddy is so underappreciated lately.

atari 2600 08.25.2006 02:59 PM

I've tried unsuccessfully twice now to send disc 2. Since BaDonGo doesn't send the link to an e-mail address, there is no way to recover the link if it just doesn't happen to show (which it has done now twice). I'm switching to rapidshare for this third attempt, even though rapidshare also does not have a field for an e-mail address.

I don't have that Pentangle '70 one.
I'm assuming that like most of their bootleg recordings, the sound quality isn't all that hot & that it's with Doug Yule & without John Cale. Even so, that would be a sweet link.

Haven't listened to it yet, but the Pentangle one is a SBD and sounds crystal clear.

atari 2600 08.25.2006 08:00 PM

Again, the other one is even better, & I'll put the link up tomorrow or the next day. I hope people will download & listen to that one especially. This one is still good though.
