no idea either. I thought perhaps it was because of the flame war that was going on between the uploader and some commenter.
But a while back another uploader also got all of his torrents banned for the same reason (survivor something I think (s)he's called). I have no clue why.

update on that NY torrent:
it's been shared again:

The Fall - Trent Polytechnic, Nottingham 9.12.82 RESEED

[rant mode on]

I'm trying to keep the torrents seeding after I download them, usually I keep seeding those that are in my client with the least seeds and one or more leechers. Otherwise I'll have many torrents stuck with the error message that I've got too many open connections. Currently there's a whole bunch of them especially from the SY flood. But there's hardly any movement. I check some of the torrents, and guess what?

This guy is seeding 154 torrents and leeching 116!!!!
I am the seeder for some of those that he's leeching and he's not even connected to me.

I sent him a PM asking if he could tone it down a bit, but of course nothing changes.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BiglyBT seems to be the most recommended client for this sitch. No bullcrap and you can keep seeding tons of shit, only it will actually appear as seeding if there's a leecher. Haven't tried it myself yet, though!

I really appreciate it, as I haven't been able to download anything for a week. I'll do my best to catch up today (I have to request a permit online to get out of the apartment).

I tried out BiglyBT yesterday. Positive note: it has a migration plugin that works really well. Only 2 from the ~1200 torrents I have loaded in utorrents were migrated to BiglyBT. Those two were left out due to accented characters in filenames and/or folder.

But it has so many features/options that I didn't know what to change to get it to my likings. For one, it doesn't seem to have the feature that you can link the completed folder to a tag (I have subfolders for lossless audio and another one for videos for instance, and in utorrent I've configured various tags for this). And I very much like the UI of utorrent, and not so much the UI of BiglyB. I couldn't easily tell which filesets were actively being seeded (except for checking my account page on Dime), and it wasn't really seeding the ones that I wanted to, with actual leechers and not too many seeders.

So after fiddling around for a few hours, I reverted back to utorrent v.2.2.1

FWIW, I've used qBittorrent for aaaages with nary a complaint. Heard good things about Deluge as well.

I'm not really complaining about utorrent, but leechers that are either queueing up way t many torrents for leeching at the same time, or are using a client that doesn't work with Dime, or both.

Unfortunately, I can't use qBittorrent
