agh! KING is so so so good! "What You Know About That" is maybe TI's finest moment. And Troomp is such an underrated producer.

Keiji Haino - Tenshi No Gijinka

Has anyone gotten the new Haino album (release date 08/04/09) - 'Shall I Download A Blackhole And Offer It To You: Live In Berlin 15.11.2007' CD?

I want it hard...

4/5
While Quikk's beats are the real story, Kurupt still sounds great, and unlike many hip-hop albums this one understood that brevity can be your friend.
Real sour note: "Jupiter's Critic & The Mind of Mars" Album really could have done without that one.
But really, this has a great classic west coast vibe, some of teh best g-funk this side of dre.

3.5/5
Good album length mixtape. Wish they had gotten new verses for Cannon though. No real garbage here, just nothing too incredible.

"Jupiter's Critic" is probably my favorite track!! But I love the whole thing. I think it's insane. The experimentalism of the beats, the playfulness of the lyricism, the fact that a track called "Cream N Ya Panties" is one of the funnest rap tracks ever. This album is brilliant.

viewtiful_alan 08.11.2009 06:03 PM

Haha I thought the vocals on that one were a mess.
What'd you give it? 4.5?

typically, I think nick cave has moments of genius that are hindered by moments of ho-hum.
that said, I love every song on this album.

I could totally see this being a posthumous release of some John Lennon side project.

dirt is definitely my favorite stooges song. <3

bat for lashes is on the teevee. the best thing about this band (is it a band?) are the costumes. the singer... right now, she looks like... i dunno, if ziggy stardust and goth nico were the parents of a bird. excellent plumage.

can't say much for the music really.

Yeah, that's what I heard. "Out of Reach" seems to be the worst though.
