i have a 6 cd classical compilation entitled "Listening to Music 5e/Listening to Western Music" that came with my book for my classical music class at college. Well the class now is jsut about over after this week, and I was selling my books, but I couldnt bring myself to get rid of this. Through the semester this class has actually really made me understand and love classical music, and this compilations has everything. Medieval music, Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic, Modern, Post Modern, Gershwin/Parker/Davis Jazz, and even world Music. Its literally all ive been listening to lately. my favorite tracks off it are:

Weelkes-As Vespa was From Latmos Hill Descending
Strotzzi-I Want to Die
Vivaldi-Violin Concerto in E Major
Bach-Awake A Voice is Calling, Organ Fugue in G Minor
Mozart-A Little Night Music, Symphony no. 40, I, Piano Concerto in A Major, Don Giovanni
Haydn-String Quarter "The Emperor"
Beethoven-"Pathetique" Sonata, Symphony no.5,
Schubert-Erlking
Robert Schumann-Dedication
Clara Schumann-If you Love for Beuty
Berlioz-Symphonie Fantastique (possibly my favorite pre 20th century composition)
Chopin-Nocturna in C Minor
Liszt-Transcendental Etude
Tchaikovsky-Romeo and Juliet
Debussy-Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun
Stravinsky-The Rite of Spring
Copland-Apalacian Spring
Charlie Parker-My Melancoly Baby
Miles Davis-Boplicity
Bernstien-West Side Story
Jewish Klezmer Music (The Klezmatics)-For Taschlich
People of Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia-Baris
