I have to disagree. At first I was unsure of the RED ALBUM, but it grew on me tons... which was what inspired me to go back and check out MALADROIT. I personally think the first "side" of the new one is pretty great, and though the second half is dodgy at times, it's "good enough" for what it is, and ends on a good note with "The Angel And The One."

viewtiful_alan 06.24.2008 12:59 PM

I don't know I just didn't think it held up to their old stuff, but I can see why you might like it.
How is maladroit?

noisereductions 06.24.2008 01:06 PM

Maladroit is pretty good... (I've only given it one listen so far). It's um, 'heavier' than like the first 3 albums. It's funny, remember in "In The Garage" he mentions KISS being his favorite band? MALADROIT sounds to me like their KISS album. But I mean, still the usual Rivers vocal stylings.

I guess after the perfection of THE BLUE ALBUM and PINKERTON, I'm really sort of OK with them just making GOOD albums. Or something. Haha.

viewtiful_alan 06.24.2008 01:11 PM

haha. IT sounds interesting nonetheless. I'll probalby check it out.
And yeah I read somewhere that he was a hairmetal guy in highschool XD

noisereductions 06.24.2008 02:18 PM

The CD has like 7 video tracks on it, too.

I got the black wax, I've found out recently they have it in orange, which I prefer the black wax. It just seems as if colored vinyls are the norm now. Maybe that's just me.

The new ep out now thing is not on the actual cd. This is the only picture I could find.

I hate to sound like a lame old fucker but I seem to have lost my record-buying jones. I haven't wanted to go record shopping for at least two months!

This has been replaced by an almost insatiable craving for new clothes.

Does anybody else go through this?

Maybe it's because I bought so many records over the past couple of years. I feel full.

Rob Instigator 07.03.2008 03:53 PM

you need to sit and LISTEN and absorb all those records you bought! enjoy!

It's alright. About exactly what I expected, given the cover and song titles, but way too short and the production seems a bit light. A decent departure.

tw2113 07.04.2008 04:02 PM

"The Pretender" by local band We All Have Hooks For Hands. They're folk-pop, and I got the cd at my local coffee shop, aka not a huge franchise like Starbucks

Everyneurotic 07.04.2008 10:32 PM

corrupted - paso inferior
