Nirvana was the pinnacle of homosexuality.

However gay we all find RATM to be (and I will admit they were kinda faggish), Nirvana is like 1,000,000 times faggier.

I'm so Anti-Corporate, I signed a record contract at my first gig.

Poseur ass motherfucker.

Same. I find his music boring and doesn't have much too it. His voice annoys me. I still think Dre shouldn't have made Aftermath though, the aftermath album failed big time and introduced eminem, 50 cent, the game, etc... into mainstream gangsta rap. It's good on his end because they hit it really big. Thats where it started going overboard and you see all these 12 year olds trying to look like eminem. I think Dre should have stuck with Death Row; it was such a good label. Snoop Dogg, Dre, 2pac, DOC are all excellent I think. I'm not too big on modern day gangsta rap, but apparently Dre's going to release his last album sometime soon. It's been postponed for about 4 years now.

I don't think NWA influenced all rap/hip-hop. I can't hear anything resembling Dre beats in Quasimoto.

Daddylikes 07.19.2006 02:10 PM

NWA influenced gangster rap, which has been the predominant form of rap on the radio.

Daddylikes 07.19.2006 02:10 PM

NWA=Public Enemy as far as rap influence.

Yes. I know this. I was just saying that alot of people think NWA started rap and are responsible for all rap music and that's not true. Gangster rap is terrible now.

I don't know, I like Southern Style Crunk.

I love Lil' Jon.

Again, Silverchair sound nothing like Nirvana, and have claimed to never like Nirvana. But Pearl and Soundgarden - yes. Strange how a kid with long blonde hair (which is the only similarity to Nirvana) can confuse and mislead so many people. Anyway, that was over 10 years ago now, Silverchair have indeed made numerous records since then, and have create something far more bold than nearly all them 'grunge', 'garage' bands.

I like your sig Norma J. I hugged Dennis after a show saying he did an excellent job. I'm not that big on T(I)NC, but The Lost Patrol and Refused are both excellent

Norma J 07.19.2006 09:35 PM

The Lost Patrol Band, or The Lost Patrol? I prefer the latter, personally. But I perfer T(I)NC Over them both. And Refused are almighty. Although their cataloque is not as consitent as T(I)NC.

While we're on the subject, Refused are a band that fits this thread. Were they in the list? Doubtful.

haha yeah not at all. They didn't even invent gangsta rap. They just made it big. If this is an england chart why isn't coldplay on the list? I mean, cmon you gotta love em. The band brought forward radiohead's style and enlightened it with plenty of new musical elements.

Danny Himself 07.22.2006 06:19 PM
