Listened to Stained Glass last night.

I have no idea what to say, it sort of came out of nowhere.

Everyneurotic 11.25.2010 02:20 PM

Coyote was a big disappoinment for me.

Haven't listened to Stained Glass yet.

atsonicpark 11.25.2010 02:53 PM

Yeah, the last two albums weren't too hot. This ep rules though.

Everyneurotic 11.25.2010 02:59 PM

I love Blue Lambency Downward, is my favorite by them.

Derek 11.25.2010 05:20 PM

I like Coyote a lot more than Blue Lambency Downward.

Dowsing is my favourite though.

atsonicpark 11.26.2010 01:43 AM

Yep, Coyote's way better than Blue, imo. And Dowsing's my favorite too.

Either way, one of my all time favorite bands, glad to see this little thread turn into something much bigger...

Everyneurotic 11.26.2010 02:15 AM

I have a friend who is just like you. Dowsing is his fav, BLD the weakest in his opinion.

Myself, the one i don't like that much (after Coyote) is Dowsing.

1. BLD
2. Choir of the Eye
3. split with Bloody Panda
4. Dowsing
5. Coyote

atsonicpark 11.26.2010 02:27 AM

to be honest, I think this new ep is probably my second favorite release. If this is the direction they're going on, I am excited.

Everyneurotic 11.26.2010 02:31 AM

I'm yet to hear it, but will probably soon.

tcpotbntmy 12.03.2010 05:35 PM

I've thoroughly enjoyed everything Kayo Dot has done, there's been no real weak point as far as I'm concerned (...though I've never listened to the Bloody Panda split)

to have a stretch of releasing Choirs of the Eye... Dowsing... BLD...Coyote, the latter two I personally hold in the same esteem as the initial two, and now this gorgeous EP, adds up to a pretty fantastic run of great musical output.

tcpotbntmy 12.03.2010 05:41 PM

the Foxy Digitalis interview was awesome...

would love to see them on tour but that's not going to happen.

washer 12.03.2010 05:53 PM

I heard Stained Glass for the first time today, can't say much 'cause there's a lot going on on it, but it's definitely a beautiful piece.

Derek 12.03.2010 05:59 PM

1. Dowsing Anemone with Copper Tongue
2. Choirs of the Eye
3. Bloody Panda split
4. Coyote
5. Stained Glass EP
6. Blue Lambency Downward

How come? They tour all the time.

tcpotbntmy 12.03.2010 06:09 PM

This tour; of course I'll get around to it in the future.

Derek 12.03.2010 06:35 PM

Last time they played where I live it was in an age restricted venue so I couldn't go. I wasn't too bothered about it though considering most of the band was held up by borders and the show essentially became a Tartar Lamb gig.

Derek 12.20.2010 09:28 AM

My copy of Stained Glass came today. I love the lyrics, and I can't really say that for many of their songs.

Tim Byrnes of Friendly Bears played on Coyote as well as he's contributed trumpet on each of Giggle the Ozone's Expo Nexus and Charge for select songs.

Polyimage of Known Exits is great: http://www.kayodot.net/tartarlamb/

Yeah Polyimage of Known Exits is awesome. Gonna buy a copy eventually.
