all I ever wanted was a girl to watch movies with
behind the wall, the cows are crashed I leave my stall, the wild dogs scream out their call. The breeze is cold, the moon is old, but shines the same as it did on the first day of creation. Is this red fog a big fire?! I don’t care I’m feeling tired. This is when the window spiders build their webs to catch a flyer. I’m dreaming with Jesus, he blesses my sneezes in this dust ball, the destroyed wall, my punk catharsis. The vines engulf the summer swing my birthday gift, the possums need to bum a lift. (go possums go!) They crawl the ledge, that all the thieves hop to steal phones, they will not leave this place alone, creation.
All I ever wanted was a girl to watch movies with all day and all night, and hold me real tight (and drink iced coffee), is that too much to ask you for?!

I told my friend that I'd make him a mix..

I know his tastes in music, and he really doesn't have a lot of stuff, so I thought it would be easy (I can even get away with adding Pavement tracks...who the fuck doesn't have everything Pavement's ever done??).

the problem is, it's SO easy that my mix is now 3 1/2 hours long.

I don't know what to cut. every bit of it is genius.

all of that said...I'm now on my second listen through this monster playlist.

Me.
I don't like Pavement.

floatingslowly 06.08.2009 02:09 PM

that's too bad to hear.

does it help that Thunderbolt Pagoda is getting top-billing and Pavement is somewhere down near 25 and 40?

hell, yr even coming in before Pentagram!

welcome to The Big Time.

Savage Clone 06.08.2009 02:14 PM

YES!
Take that, old man Liebling!

floatingslowly 06.08.2009 02:20 PM

I have a feeling that it's going to make him crap his pants.

at least, I hope that is the case; it would make me feel less embarrassed at crapping mine.

:o

Savage Clone 06.08.2009 02:23 PM

You'd think you'd be used to that by now.

I love being an adult because I can restrict my food intake, get drunk and chain smoke all alone in my house at night without being melodramatic.

Yes, she told me it would make my life more interesting.

Actually, I have a better response: You can do anything you want but don't step on my blue suede shoes. (And I do have some.)

That's a true sign of maturity. You should feel proud.
