I have that mono mix LP, too. How do you like it compared to the stereo? I frankly couldn't tell that much difference.

Right now... Get Yer Ya Yas Out

Savage Clone 06.07.2009 01:33 PM

The difference between mono and stereo is approximately eight hundred dollars American.

They have rain in hell?

Savage Clone 06.07.2009 01:41 PM

So far, the only 60s LP I would pay through the nose for in mono is Piper At The Gates Of Dawn. That one absolutely KILLS in mono.

gmku 06.07.2009 01:42 PM

If you didn't have to pay through the nose for? I only paid 20 bucks for my VU&N mono copy. Course it's a cheesy 180gm reissue, but I refuse to become a vinyl collector snob.

take your pick

here's what i'm listening to right now.
my 7 month old sister screaming
my dad in the attic with a shop vac/trying to fix the A/C yelling numerous obscenities
thunder/rain

help.

Savage Clone 06.07.2009 01:54 PM

I haven't heard the banana album in mono.
Some of the stones' stuff sounds better in mono.
Are You Experienced? sounds better in stereo to me. I got to play grade an original white label mono promo of that recently, and I was all excited to check it out, but wound up preferring the stereo mix.
