I'll post you some Nels, I got a LOT of his stuff

Alright, off-topic(ish), but just because I'm mighty golden (and an obsessive bastard who collects stuff like Wilco's Summer Tour 2009 Program, where I found this little nugget of entertainment), here's Nels' Top 5 7-inch 45s:

Yup, this one's a killer. Nels' humility and/or self-deprecating sense of humor cracks me up - guy's a serious candidate for best guitar player alive, and he says things like "We thought we would get killed for doing this [Interstellar Space Revisited] but reviews have been alarmingly favorable and we were actually nominated for an International Jazz Critics Award (didn't win though)". On the Zawinul cover from the new album: "...a blazing and/or totally indulgent version". :)

Come to think of it, ilduclo, I don't think I have any unofficial recordings of Cline with Zeena. And I luuuuv Zeena. I would totally GET with THAT. So if you have one, count me in.

Another one: "Word on the street is that a song I played on for M. Ward (cover of Jimmie Dale Gilmore's 'Headed For A Fall') is coming out this month on 7" vinyl. You'll know it's me if you hear it because I am doing my now-familiar 'rave-up' solo. Hope you're not tired of it!".

An of course,
Nels' Public Service Announcement is priceless...

ilduclo 06.11.2010 04:32 PM

he's just a real nice guy, I've sat with him and shared a drink a couple of times, a real genuine person, and he's very politically and environmentally conscious, too.

At the request of RanaldoNecro, here's some recent Ig:

Iggy and The Stooges, Dundas Square, June 19, 2010, Toronto Canada

It's a SendSpace folder, so you can download the .txt file for details before going for the whole thang. I made sure no malevolent stop-and-start shenanigans took place while uploading. Please let me know whether all files check out A-OK.

Nice site here :). Just happened to come across it a couple of days, through this thread actually, and was absolutely delighted to see all of the Keiji Haino and Fushitsusha stuff I hadn't heard before here. Thanks a lot for those guys!

Also, after reading the first post, I'm guessing requests are ok? I'm kinda of nutty for Haino/Fushitsusha stuff, and (I think) I already grabbed all of the stuff posted here so far.

Any other Haino/Fushitsusha bootlegs out there that could be posted here? A huge thanks in advance :D

Glice 07.25.2010 07:41 AM

Welcome. I think all the Haino boots I have are buried in links on here. But it's nice to have you on board.

Carbone 07.27.2010 09:34 AM

Thanks for the links, and the welcome guys.
