Go on piss off back to Oldham!
|
Everton win by 3 goals, and Barca lose by 3 goals. Life is good.
|
Barcelona is losing BIG TIME against Real in el Clasico right now.
Such a shame ... |

So what does everyone think about Benitez's out burst after the FA cup game?
Honestly, I can see why he's pissed off. The fans shouldn't be booing him as he's actually doing alright, and you need only glance over his trophy winning record to see they have a great manager. The boos should be going to Abramovich for changing managers like his underwear. I kind feel sorry for Benitez cos he clearly doesn't deserve this kind of treatment from the fans or Abramovich. JUST LEAVE HIM ALONE! |

agreed but at the same time, he came to chelsea. he should know what to expect from these fickle assholes |
Oh man...! I mean Man U...
|
Hala Madrid!

I watched the game in a hotel bar in Spain (go me) although most were barca fans so the boos at the end were almost as loud as I imagine could be heard in Manchester. The red card looked like a joke. real didnt look that impressive until they were able to capitalise on their extra man. Went to see Malaga draw 0-0 with atl Madrid in la liga at the weekend. My first chance to see falcao in the flesh. No goals so a bit of a let down in that respect but a great game nonetheless and even without scoring falcao definitely looks like the real deal. Life is sweet |
It was clearly a red card.
You can't go lunging in with his feet that high up and expect to get away with it. As for the excuse that he was looking behind him at the time and didn't know anyone was there is just stupid. You think you're gonna be given a massive area of the pitch to yourself, and Madrid are just gonna sit back and let you get the ball? Bollocks and Nani's an idiot if he did think that. Clearly a red. |
I agree with h8kurdt that nani is responsible for the placement of his feet esp. At such height & position (cleats up) & forward direction (it was pure kungfu) though other than that I thought Man U was the better team (till they were crippled).
@demonyo-Spain! Nice!! |
if de jong can get away with it, i don't see why nani shouldnt!
|
I think most people thought De-Jong should have gone too
|
I can see why the ref gave a red but it still looked harsh. I just think they need to use a bit more discretion. Nanis foot was high but it didnt really hurt anyone and nor, from what i saw, was it intended to. A yellow card would've been perfectly reasonable. Maybe it's me but I can't see any real comparison between what Nani did and the de Jong 'tackle', which seemed solely aimed at taking a player out. if Nani warrants a red because his foot was high and could've potentially caused an injury, then overhead kicks will also have to be outlawed. And what about a flying header? Most of us know a truly dangerous challenge when we see one and I just don't think Nani's was.

i thought it clocked arbeloa on the side/ribs. his arm flew off but he was caught on the side, wasn't him? from one angle it looks like arbeloa just got his arm swept, but from the other it looks like he took the kick on the spleen. watch at second 38" (2nd pass) http://rutube.ru/video/8b0470061dcee...655935f7ddc29/ or better yet, this moving gif the 2nd take, from arbeloa's back/nani's side, looks awful. a little deeper could have been a broken rib/spleen. |
|
sad, but juve is making celtic look positively primitive, even with samaras on the pitch. juventus is (should be) in another league. damn, they are good-- likely to play the final.

1. Guilty as fuck
2. Having just posted that I went to watch Malaga, so again, guilty as fuck. 3. I do read When Saturday Comes but overall not that into the magazines. 4. Nope. 5. Sometimes go to see West Ham but mostly an armchair fan. 6. I did watch the ACN so yeah, maybe, I guess. 7. Haven't worn anything football related since my early teens. Nor do I wear skinny jeans or converse. 8. I'd like to be as handsome as Xabi Alonso but that's as fas as it goes. 9. I respect the bundesliga more and more but not really a fan. 10. The only team I support is West Ham. Verdict. Semi hipster, I suppose. |

That because (a) Nigeria [who is Africa's official "meh" team] won which always sucks and (b) Nigeria won because Burkina Faso was out of gas from whooping too much ass in the group stages and the semis ;) It happens in all sports, look at the Spurs in the NBA Western Conference Finals last year, or the Miami Heat the year before that in the NBA Finals? Or really, the San Francisco 49ers defense in the Superbowl this year. The thing about a Championship, is it takes a shitload of hard played games to get there, and stamina is a must. In finals like the Africa Cup, it becomes less a matter of finesse and more so just the reality of last man standing :/ Quote:
Tom Brady did, but folks don't fuck with that dude cuz he knows karate ;) |
Fucking fuming at the moment.

how come? postponed matches? |
I'd rather have that, but it's F.A Cup tie with Everton vs Wigan. Everton are currently 3-0 down at half time and to make it worse the three goals all came within 5 minutes.

oh shit! -- ps just tuned in, that gomez goal looked awesome. |
bayern/dusseldorf 1-1 at halftime
dusseldorf played a good 20-30 minutes and scored at 16', by 20' bayern was on the attack and just unlucky until mueller scored at 45' van buyten is subbing for dante and luiz gustavo for javi martinez, not sure if in preparation for next week's match vs. arsenal or due to injuries. |
Two wins in a row is that for QPR? Anyone think they're gonna do it?
|
Quote:
On recent form, I think they've every chance, especially if they beat Villa next week. |
anybody here watching spurs/liverpool right now? i've been looking forward to it all week and i'm enjoying it lots.
|
oh man, am i glad i watched it!
|
Fair play to Liverpool with that one. And yes Cheslsea fans, Benitez does known what he's doing.
|
Yeah, great game. Spurs must be kicking themselves though. They looked the better side overall. God knows what Defoe was doing. And as for Walker.
The title of player of the year seems to be between Suarez and Bale so an interesting game from that perspective, too. Impossible to separate them. H8kurdt^ Benitez is a far better manager than DiMatteo will ever be and whatever the fans are saying, his spell at Chelsea has only strengthened his reputation. |
just finished watching the man u/ chelsea match. daaaamn! man u got lucky at the end (and i still think torres is shit, hazard and mata are awesome). chicharito remains unappreciated.
so the FA cup is not an elimination thing? i though they would go to overtime. what happens to these 2 teams now? |
It's still a knockout. They have a replay at the other team's ground, then if it's still not settled after 90 minutes they play extra time and then penalties if necessary.
|
Quote:
is it always a 2-leg thing like in the champions or is the replay only because they tied? i tried wikipedia and it confused me. |
