Ok, not really, except they do love Nascar. And while I've never seen a rebel flag there, she has said that she wouldn't watch I Love Lucy because she is married to "that Puerto Rican man." So, that tells you something.

afterthefact 06.01.2009 04:32 PM

I know, but that's just what she said.

EVOLghost 06.01.2009 04:34 PM

Cool ink, Kuwa_Slayne.

From Friday night:

mil_pl 06.01.2009 05:25 PM

what is the genre?

Savage Clone 06.01.2009 05:27 PM

Space rock, of the heavier variety.
Loud guitar and bass, drums, analog synths, Mellotron.
Some ambient passages, but overall extremely loud.

stu666 06.02.2009 01:42 AM

Up a tree.

A friend just sent me this, taken on my 17th birthday, some 21 years ago!

Unrecognisable now. So innocent!

Rob Instigator 06.02.2009 12:37 PM

i don;t recognize you

demonrail666 06.02.2009 12:38 PM

That's why i felt comfortable posting it.

Rob Instigator 06.02.2009 12:44 PM

21 years ago I was 14-15 and wore a flipped up suicidal tendencies cap wherever I went.

demonrail666 06.02.2009 01:11 PM

I suspect that the T shirt I'm wearing in that picture had either a Stone Roses or Inspiral Carpets logo on it somewhere.

Rob Instigator 06.02.2009 01:16 PM

no happy mondays????

yr twistin my melon man....

demonrail666 06.02.2009 01:16 PM

The Mondays T shirt was green, I remember it well.

floatingslowly 06.02.2009 01:24 PM

I had no idea that demonrail was a girl.

you might have received more attention had you spoken up sooner.

Keeping It Simple 06.02.2009 05:20 PM

Danny Himself looks a bit like one of the members of Elvis Costello's backing band The Attractions.

The dude second from the left.

Danny Himself 06.02.2009 05:51 PM

Nahh

Keeping It Simple 06.02.2009 05:53 PM

I did say a bit.

Danny Himself 06.02.2009 06:07 PM

Haha I see where you're coming from, I guess. We both have a wide mouth.

Oh, it's appeared now. One can only imagine the changes the years have wrought on that fresh face.

gmku 06.02.2009 07:54 PM

Did you know that Elvis's first band, on My Aim Is True, is what later became the band behind Huey Lewis and the News (sans Huey on Aim)?

demonrail666 06.02.2009 08:04 PM

I think the band that backed him already had Huey Lewis on board. He just wasn't there for the sessions (understandably). I think they were called Clover and they just ended up changing their name.

gmku 06.02.2009 08:14 PM

Yes, that's correct.

demonrail666 06.02.2009 08:36 PM

Without wanting to go over the top about them, I always quite liked Huey Lewis and the News. They were like a mega successful journeyman band. They sort of never recovered from Fore! though (or Back to the Future, of course).

+ thats my fav record at the moment

Rob Instigator 06.03.2009 11:15 AM

I always considered Huey Lewis & The News to be the single most overachieving bar band in US history!

Yeah, I mean you're obviously right. They're like The American Squeeze, only without Jools Holland and thus infinitely more likeable.

Rob Instigator 06.03.2009 02:57 PM

squeeze!!!! ha ha ha!

gmku 06.03.2009 04:42 PM

HL&TN may have been a competent band, but my God, the songs, how they sucked!
