great so far!! |
^I still gotta get that one!
|
same for me, for a long time. snatched it in berlin for 10 bucks, and it awesome. always wanted to free the original nes metroid on my prime version via the gba save
|
oh yeah, I forgot about that. I hate Prime though. I really could NOT get into it at all. Anyway, I have the NES version via the NES Classic Series GBA release.
|
I have Metroid Fusion. My girlfriend found it on the sidewalk or something.
I plan on giving Metroid Prime another go, soon enough. GameStop is selling the original at merely $2.99 a pop, after all. Today may be the day to add both MP, and Viewtiful Joe back into my GC collection. They're both the same price. |
yeah I bought both of those for $3 each. I didn't like either. I think Prime sucks ass. Viewtiful Joe LOOKS amazing. And it's a great idea. But I just didn't like the controls personally.

^ sickkk
i have to get that game |
I'm only slightly into it right now. I reneted it right after I got my Wii but didn't play it much. I actually like the Gamecube version better because I don't have to flail around like a goon.
|
starts very interesting, but then gets monotonous civilization still takes the came for greatest strategy game ever (besides chess?) civ V coming out in the fall! better schedule some downtime in advance. |
I really dug prime.
its A LIL BIT too colorful. a darker setting would be fitting even better. but I liked the overall chilling mood. for vietiful joe i tend to think the same as noise recuctions. great idea, great style but the controls are kinda annoying. havent finished that game, I think Ive played 2 years ago or something. btw is the gameboy advanced player for the GC worth it? I imagine it to be pretty nice playing GBA titles on the tv, or does the resolution suck? |
the first metroid prime is great you just need to give it a few hours, the second one i couldn't get into

yr not the first to tell me that. But I just couldn't even like enough to stick it out for a few hours. |

fair enough, it's not as good as the SNES one anyway. |

SD Snatcher on blue msx
there is an english translation GREAT one and of course snatcher for the sega cd!!! |
al, are you actually playing it on an MSX? If so, that's awesome!!
(the MSX version has more blood and nudity) |
unfortunately not.
I played with the thought of buying a cheap msx unit plus the japanese version of SD snatcher. but making business with private japanese people is pretty hard. for example its almost impossible to buysomething from jap amazon without being actually a japanese. tried it pretty hard when I was after a copy of "the silver case" & "flower sun and rain" (before FSR was converted for the DS) so Ive decided to emulate that one and keep my original snatcher copy as my holy grail :) even though I love to play games on their original systems, its just: different, like playing vinyl instead of mp3s (please no fundamental discussion about that topic again, hahaha) |
what is SD Snatcher, as opposed to just Snatcher?
|
(edited my post before)
its a standalone game, where the graphics are kinda like on Mother (earthbound for the western world) everything is more cute. it was intednded as a parody on the original but delivers some background information on the original one. its more lightheartet but definately worth playing. the fanmade translation is pretty good too. (it came out only on the jap market after snatcher) give it a shot!!!! if you liked snatcher its really fun plus a good story btw my avatar is from "snatcher" haahha ingame: nonetheless its still violent to come back to the different snatcher versions: the mcd version is stil my favourite, not just because I own it. I loooove the soundtrack and it definately sounds best on that one. the game is is still pretty gory and the "sex tape" situation is still funny, hahaha |
