edit: ms. hawkin is a chick's name, right?

alteredcourse 05.09.2009 12:08 PM

Heh, amazing shot of the drummer..he sure loves to beat.
That setup looks intense.

Phoenix and atsonicpark are too cute to be real.

Cool tee.

Personally I have this love/hate thing with band and album tees anymore. I love their images, but I hate to wear them and to see them on people. To me, it now seems like bumper stickers on cars. I don't want to know what you think and like plastered all over your vehicle and your clothes.

I don't know. In the last 12 months I've really gone back to traditional in my clothing choices. I've even given up jeans for the most part. I find I much prefer khakis.

NaiveMelody 05.09.2009 01:27 PM

The one on the right, obviously, is my aunt. And no, while I have been with a couple of chicks, I am not a lesbian.

pics or it didn't happen.

Savage Clone 05.09.2009 01:40 PM

Khakis are for squares.

gmku 05.09.2009 01:50 PM

I couldn't agree more. I'm not much of a hipster anymore.

Savage Clone 05.09.2009 01:51 PM

Are they at least non-pleated?

gmku 05.09.2009 02:04 PM

Of course. I only wear plain front khakis. J. Crew premium officers khakis are actully very neat-o. They have a button fly like Levis 501s and sort of a broken-in look and feel. They're my favorite. I also like the J. Crew essential chinos and the summer lightweight chinos.

For just banging around, not worrying how dirty my clothes get and such, I have some cheapos from Old Navy.

gmku 05.09.2009 02:06 PM

Been trying to break in my white Jack Purcell canvas shoes the last couple of weeks. I like canvas white when it gets dirty looking and frayed. Almost thought about taking a knife to some of the edges to fray the cloth a little.

Worst thing about converse shoes is that they look really lame when they're fresh out of the box. Go running in the park or something, get them muddy and wet.

gmku 05.09.2009 02:20 PM

I've been wearing them around town as much as possible, walking through puddles and stuff.

Danny Himself 05.09.2009 02:21 PM

Sweet. They'll be fucked up sooner or later.

Second worst thing is that they're about as comfortable as strapping cardboard to your feet. I have to put inserts in my cons.

gmku 05.09.2009 02:28 PM

They're not regular cons. They're Converse Jack Purcells. Better constructed, not as flimsy.

i like mine nice and clean.

al shabbray 05.09.2009 02:59 PM

I hate it when they are clean. like with almost any shoe it has to tell some stories to be loved...
same goes for:
-everything out of leather
-backpacks
-cars
-almost anything

no I am no grunge fanatic

M and S are my first two initials, sadly enough.

Kuwa_Slayne 05.09.2009 03:57 PM

My sis just sent me this pic.--I didn't even know it existed anymore. Probably from '77.

_slavo_ 05.09.2009 04:00 PM

you're the one in the swimming pool?

Kuwa_Slayne 05.09.2009 04:06 PM

I'm putting the sleeper hold on my dog.

davenotdead 05.09.2009 04:06 PM

who's the woman with the nice right breast in the swimming pool?

_slavo_ 05.09.2009 04:07 PM

okay, this is on the Phu Quoc island in the south of Vietnam:

that might be the farthest place from my home that I've ever been to.

Kuwa_Slayne 05.09.2009 04:08 PM

I don't even remember having that pic taken. Probably my neighbor. Good looking lady. But if I remember correctly she had one fine lady mustache.

davenotdead 05.09.2009 04:19 PM

those can be waxed

floatingslowly 05.09.2009 04:37 PM

I'd like to see pictures of the neighbor lady and yr dad fighting over a beer.

and by fighting, I mean, inside the Thunderdome.

two man enter. one man leave.

ps: _slavo_, I'm jealous. I'd really like to go there, but it seems scary to me.

I'm wondering how busy the beach was ten minutes before this picture was taken.

Lurker 05.09.2009 04:51 PM

Nah I'm just joking!

_slavo_ 05.09.2009 04:54 PM

demonrail666 05.09.2009 05:07 PM

why so? much less scary than the darker corners of Baltimore.
Trust me, I've seen both.

floatingslowly 05.09.2009 06:45 PM

the language barrier.

I'm able to get by in most latin and germanic based languages, but the asian varieties terrify me. it's a shame too because I love them (asians, that is).

I've lived around vietnamese people most of my life. orange county, california and oklahoma city have the highest populations of vietnamese in the US. despite that, I can only say "happy new year" (chung mung nam moi), and even with then, I'm parroting. I have no idea what chung, mung or moi mean (I think nam means "people").
