i might just get something tomorow if i get enough money, and if those guys in cash converters buy my multi processor.

SubSonicPumpAction 12.21.2006 06:28 PM

so as of right now I have a
A Rickenbacker Amp acting as a head for a RANDALL Bass Amp
I play a 1972 fender bullet.
as well as an 80's model hollow body telecaster with the f-hole
and an 80's strat with push down tone buttons and 4 way switching.
Pedals:
Boss DD-6
Danelectro Fab Tone
MXR Compression Unit
Line 6 DL-4
Electro Harmonix 16 sec Delay
BOSS RV-5
MXR Blue Box
Dunlop Wah Wah (which i don't ever use)
Electro Harmonix Hot Tubes
also (not a pedal but)
Rolland SP-404 Sampler with Effects.

shentov 12.21.2006 06:37 PM

sold all my ProEl and DOD shit and started ordering customized 'boutique' pedals:

Naudio Sonic Fuzz (modified 60's Univox Superfuzz)
Naudio Muffhoney (modified EH Big Muff Pi with harsher sustain)

use them both with guitar and bass

I'm going to 4 different guitar stores with 130 dollars tomorrow. Wish me luck! :)

whorefrost 12.21.2006 07:32 PM

Boss Digital Delay 3 - Russian Big Muff - Octave Fuzz - Boss Phaser

Savage Clone 12.21.2006 08:23 PM

I'm getting rid of my Fuzz Factory (super cool, but I haven't used it in about 2 years), but I recently got one of these off my bandmate; sorry if I posted this before, but I just can't be bothered to dig through the whole thread to see if I did or not...
This is an early 60s tube-powered Echolette tape echo unit, German style. We just have to put in a new tape loop and it's ready to go. Super cool, plus my friend has a pristine reel of pre-polyester acetate tape that I can use for future loop replacement!

What are you looking to get?

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 12.21.2006 11:42 PM

The last stop has a Micro Synth for 125. I'm saving that stop for last though, because I want to see what the other 3 places have for offer. Well, other 2 places, because we're going to guitar center because my friend has never been. Bla IMO- they have all that line 6, digitech, and boss shit- all lifeless and sterile sounding.

We have 2 GCs here and damn the location I never go to has quite an impressive selection of pedals over the other one - not necessarily pedals I'd buy, but interesting to demo: Fulltone, Voodoo Lab, lotsa EHX pedals and MXR pedals I never have tried.

That is a great deal on a Micro Synth - never seen them cheaper than $160 around here.

Your story sounds similar to mine. I ended up getting a Small Clone and Phase 90, both used for $50 and $60 respectively. Glad I went to that last store, cuz I saved $50 if I would've bought them new at either of the stores I went to before there.

ah you lucky fucker! i might get something as well today i have 70 euros and im gonna try to sell my multi effect

king_buzzo 12.22.2006 02:38 PM

i didnt get anything, i bought 2 sonic youth cds and a dvd for a christmas present... that left me with 45 euros.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 12.22.2006 07:23 PM

I didn't get anything either :(

The microsynth sold before I got there. I tried out a stereo pulsar- that was a pretty cool trem, but I didn't know about it. Also tried out a stereo clone theory but it was really hissy when engaged.

king_buzzo 12.23.2006 02:46 PM

turbo rat (maybe) small stone electric mistress

CHOUT 12.25.2006 03:30 PM

king_buzzo 12.29.2006 12:02 PM

its about 69 euros in rockpalace (keymusic.com)

i need to get a small stone ( or phase 90, still havent decided) a turbo rat, a trem but dont know which , either a carl martin trem or a boss trem pan, and i want to get an electric mistress. and maybe im gonna go get one of those nano boosters as well.

but all that comes after jazzmaster.

Malachi_Constant 12.29.2006 01:28 PM

Call me a pawn-shop warrior.

Danelectro Milkshake Chorus
RockTech PHR-01 Phaser
DOD American Metal FX 56 Dist (which I've barely used since buying... pos)

Mostly, I just crank the gain on my amp and go.

The Jap Jazzmasters are like $1600 aren't they? I see Jazzmasters for around that in certain catalogues etc, and then see Jazzmasters in others for around $3000 or more. So I gather the latter are US Jazzmasters.

I've wanted a Jazzmaster for many years now, but I think I'm going to save up and get a Jaguar or a Mustang next. Most likely Japanese. My '72 Telecaster Deluxe is one it's way to me. They're fantastic guitars and only made in Mexico. I'm really into Fenders at the moment.

Danny Himself 01.01.2007 08:12 PM

My Japanese Jazz as of... last year. I should take more pictures of it.

Savage Clone 01.01.2007 08:38 PM

Nice guitar.

I haven't shared any gear porn for a while; these pics are from a camera I just got and I'm none too adept with:

Amp/guitar

Heads

Some of the studio

Whats up with your amp setup? The one marshall major isn't loud enough? And ive always wondered: what does that do plugging in a shorter cord to your other inputs?

Danny Himself 01.01.2007 08:48 PM

Your amp is nothing short of ridiculous.

In a good, Spinal Tap sort of way.

Jap Jags/Jazzes go for about $600-700. I've heard of people in the us ordering from Fender Japan and getting fast good service. They make some interesting hybrid Fenders that aren't sold here.

It's not actually a "stack;" it's two amps stacked on top of each other. The 50 Watt one (black one) goes to the bottom cabinet; I like the mix of the two amps because the Major is super clean and the other one breaks up some. Gives extra meat to the clean sections. That 50watt rig isn't even mine; it's sort of a longterm permaloan situation with one of my friends. I'd buy it if he'd sell it to me, but I think he wants to keep it.

Jumping the channels like that just enables you to use both volumes simultaneously; one for a "darker" pre-gain and one for a cleaner post-gain.

Norma J 01.01.2007 09:03 PM

I often wondered that too, and I still don't understand.

Savage Clone 01.01.2007 09:22 PM

I'm not great at explaining this stuff. Sorry about that.
Basically, it enables you to use BOTH input I and input II instead of either I or II. Channel II is the "dark" channel and channel I is the "bright" channel. By jumping them I can mix the two together.
