Looks like I'll have to invest in a pair of decent earplugs sooner rather than later, if I want to avoid myself ending up as deaf as Ludwig van B.

Besides.....Why do BANDS wear earplugs then?

for fuck's sake, some people really take shit posted on a message board toooo seriously.

yeah, I'm an asshole. come with something new (yes, please, thanks).

do I have to explain that the BANDS are there every fucking night?

if you go to shows every fucking night....wear plugs. fuck, stuff dildos in your ears for all I care.

but if it's a one night thing and you can't hack it....I'm going to call you a pussy.

really though, no worries for you. I wouldn't be hanging out with someone that gets so easily bent.

Rob Instigator 04.03.2007 03:45 PM

i like chicks that are easily bent

noumenal 04.03.2007 03:47 PM

I'm seeing Yo La Tengo on Thursday and I'm wearing ear plugs.

Prisstina 04.03.2007 03:48 PM

seriously: anyone who has to wear earplugs to the restaurant is a TOTAL PUSS.

SUPER-SERIOUSLY: anyone of you that would like to pretend that you don't give your friends hell (for your certain pet_peeves) either: don't really HAVE friends or don't have friends really worth having.

take a deep breath, everything will be ok.

Exception to the rule, if Chan is 'sober', drink up. It'll make her now mediocre set tolerable.

jon boy 04.04.2007 06:26 AM

dont talk all the time during the show. you wont make any freinds.

ALIEN ANAL 04.04.2007 06:41 AM

just curious about this non talking during the show business...arnt the shows to loud anyway for you to be interupted by someone talking?

No matter how loud a show, people will still shout to their friends to make themselves heard. When you're at a concert and want to just enjoy the music, you're likely to stand further back, and that's where the talkers (they're called "Geese" on another forum I post on) always are.

dont push!

and dont dance into me. many a gig has been ruined by people pushing in and insisting on getting to the front. i understand at big places where you have to move but in small pubs/clubs there is no need.

Also, regarding talking/alien anal: you'd be surprised how many people are talking during loud shows... or during the quiet parts of loud shows. I've been annoyed with crowd conversations recently during Dream/Aktion Unit and Burial Chamber Trio (a Sunn O))) spin-off for fuck sake!) and they were definitely loud shows for the most part.

ALIEN ANAL 04.04.2007 07:24 AM

but how can you hear them? arnt you busy rocking out and listening to the tunes or do they really speak that loudly?

sonicl 04.04.2007 07:26 AM

Like I said before, they shout to make themselves heard over the music.

jon boy 04.04.2007 07:29 AM

there have been shows i have been too where the band/performer have stopped and told people to shut up. it was great when it happened and they got a round of applause.
