rat bastard's bands are all ridiculous lo fi, and ridiculously brilliant. check out his band the laundry room squelchers, who besides to live and shave in la are the best of the concrete/noise/cock/cutup variety.


nice, I'll have to check these out. Ulver's older material and Xasthur are also pretty solid

Just listened to Vertical Slit "Under the Blood Red Lava Lamp" and Sapat "Mortise and Tenon" in the car.

I haven't heard that Vertical Slit record but I do listen to ''Slit and Pre Slit'' fairly often, which is a weird record in that it has repetitive mantra tracks like ''Dedication Loop'' next to more conventional rock songs recorded in a lo-fi way like ''Fair Exchange'' on it.
