Wow, I remember at the beginning of the summer I went nearly 3 weeks without the interwebs. Since I didn't have TV or newspaper either I was totally disconnected from the world. Which, at times, would be a nice thing, but only if it was by choice, not by lack of insulated copper cable.

yeah, the times over the summer where i had no connection was neat. it was cool being in a universe free of pop culture. but getting back online more or less saved my life (dramatic, i know) during the whole my-brother's-in-a-mental-clinic thing.

It was cool being able to sit around and watch movies all day for about a week, then I nearly went stir crazy.

that's why i broke up my movie viewing. i filled in the spaces with tv and ice cream.

Haha, I had no TV or fridge. I lived for almost a week on poptarts, take-out, drinks kept cold by ice in a bathtub, and my vast movie collection. That is not a week I wish to repeat.

Some rain would be nice, but not in the morning when it's freezingish rain and I have to go to class. I enjoy a nice rain at night.

i just want rain whenever. not while i go running, but that's only a two hour window in a day of 24.

The new house after we moved. My parents went back to TN to pack up stuff and tie up some loose ends so I had to go to SC and stay with the dog and at this point our fridge had not been delivered, so we filled the jacuzzi tub with ice and put the drinks in there. Yeah...I had a pillow, a blanket, a pub chair, a 20' TV and a box of movies.

the town i'm staying in is a stereotypical little hick town actually just outside of jacksonville, but my stepmom's family live in a huge house down a maze of dirt roads. they're really nice, and it's not too much of a drive into the city.

This is a new subdivision and the cable company (Charter:mad: such bastards) won't lay lines until 10 houses are being lived in, right now there's 4, but at least I have internet when I go home now and TV for Iron Chef and TCM.

Down to 4 pieces of gum. Must restock tonight!

our cable company is a joke. they updated the interface for the on-screen guides and info, and not only is it hard to read but when i can read it, it's impossible to navigate. you can't search for a show title, but you can search for an episode title. a lot of wtf-ery going on.

and on-demand hasn't worked all week. everything i watch is on demand.

Gah, I miss on demand so much. Everything should be available on demand. It's the wave of the future.

i have two episodes left in the batch of six feet under eps they put up on demand, and not being able to watch them (or dexter) kills me.

did you get around to the second season of dexter?

I plan on using some of my birthday cash to purchase the seasons to watch over the Christmas break.
