I am in a (fairly) large city (considering. Metro area on the short side of 700,000), just no one is around and it's too cold at the moment to go gallivanting around looking for cool peeps.
|
nova southeastern? i know there's a branch of that in daytona. cool.
my besties are spread across this great land.. and it sucks. |

i say right now, you and i find an apartment in nyc conveniently located to ed westwick's. i will buy the binoculars, you the bon bons and champagne, and we are going to have a hell of a time. and josh, you're invited to every party i throw. all expenses paid. |
Yeah, she goes to the main campus at Davie.

Right on! I'm actually throwing around ideas for spring break amongst my cooler friends, it's either NYC or Florida. |
OMG only if we could afford it. I am still moving to NY.
|
davie.. whoa, i don't even know where that is. there are so many cities i know of, but i couldn't point out on a map of florida if the name was on it. tonight my hs played against lake brantley, and that name is forever associated with our respect/hate for them. (lake brantley's band is nicknamed the marching 400. they put on one damn fine performance.) but i still couldn't tell you where the hell is it.

Broward County, near Fort Lauderdale. I know this because I try to help her find shows. |

now's the time to start saving. this must be accomplished. |

my hands were numb tonight while i was outside. just too cold. yeah, i could go off and gallivant in search of friends, but warmth right now currently trumps socialization. |
Twas flurrying this morning, high of around 40.
|
greetings i think it is summer here
|
I know where I can find new friends! The Hinder with Trapt show Sunday night!.................um...no.
|
Quote:
the culture room! i think. from what i hear, it's a kickass place. |
Quote:
totally hardcore, dude! lots of guys to talk cool music and culture with. kloriel- summer?! where do you live? |
I think that's it because I was telling her how much she should go to the Misfits show there.
Quote:
Of course! And have beer dumped all over me and hear all their songs about blowjobs. Fun fun! |
ooh, i wonder if they're coming through orlando. nothing good is coming up there until andrew bird in february. save for the manchester orchestra, but that's two or three songs off an album of fifteen. :(
|
Actually, they're playing at the Club Firestone on December 6th
12/03/08 KNOXVILLE, TN @ VALARIUM 12/05/08 ST. PETERSBURG, FL @ JANNUS LANDING 12/06/08 ORLANDO, FL @ CLUB FIRESTONE 12/07/08 FT. LAUDERDALE, FL @ CULTURE ROOM |
the firestone? that place is cool for club kinda shows. cat power and clap your hands say yeah were fun shows, but the sound feels so dead. but if it's not too pricey, i might check it out.
|
tickets seem to be around $20 for their shows. It'll probably be a little brutal, though.
|
the firestone is huge, though. there's the main floor, then a bar and a room upstairs to watch from. so if there's brutality downstairs, upstairs is where a cool hipster can go to chillax.
