Boy, have I been on a binge of late. Can't help it. There's some good vinyl in South Carolina!

Joy Division - Unknown Pleasure (used LP)
Led Zep - I (used LP)
The Who - Tommy (used LP)
CVB - Key Lime Pie (used LP-even tho I've had the CD for years)
Love - Love (new on Sundazed)
Sonic Youth - Dirty 4LP Deluxe box set (oh, it's pretty!)

VU - Loaded (red vinyl, new)
The Animals - Animalism (used LP)
Urge Overkill - Stull EP (vinyl)
Dinosaur Jr - Green Mind & Where You Been (new LPs)
The Smiths - Strangeways, Here We Come (used LP)
Monty Python - Matching Tie & Handkerchief (used LP)
The Cure - Standing on A Beach (used LP)
The Psychedelic Furs - (s/t) (used LP)

That's probably enough for a while.

Hip Priest 08.30.2007 05:49 PM

I haven't bought an LP for yonks, but I'm hoping to pick up the big new Fall boxset at the weekend.

I'll also be looking for Sibelius' music for The Tempest.

gmku 08.30.2007 05:57 PM

Bless me, Hip Priest, for I have sinned...

Hip Priest 08.30.2007 06:00 PM

I should check out Sibelius too, he was a big influence on Scott Walker.

Christ, I was looking at my receipts and bank statements for the month. I have spent way too much on albums these past few weeks. Went way overboard.

I feel like I'm hoarding, like a squirrel packing away a winter's supply. Must have something to do with all the changes lately. That and I've simply found a lot of good record stores around here.

Although an album to put on in the background when dining a fine lady, all accompanied with a bottle of wine. And perhaps a fireplace to hear the crackling.

really? I was planning on getting it this weekend, along with their first.

Everyneurotic 09.05.2007 11:58 PM

manipulator is like...good charlotte with some noodly guitar parts, nothing like the aggressive angularity of their earlier works, just a little in some corners.

actually, it's more like coheed and cambria with better players.

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 09.06.2007 12:04 AM

Cool, thanks for the warning.

Everyneurotic 09.06.2007 12:05 AM

(I rarely only buy one CD at a time)

gmku 09.07.2007 09:19 PM

Oh My God, a Holy Grail Find Today: Nirvana - Nevermind, on 180 gram (Simpy Vinyl). It sounds so good. And the cover is so big, you can actually see the little fella's peter.
