no biggie i got excited because i think that one is the only afri boot around. at least in the western hemisphere. |
i hear about them playing all the time, but i never see anything surface either.
|
Quote:
yeah, but i think people think they're still not a trade-worthy bootlegable band (not enough demand, perhaps?). and that boot is available because it's a radio broadcast |
AFRIRAMPO= NOT TRADE WORTHY??????
i beg to totally and completely differ on that one too! may be playing ireland soon as well. got my ear to the wall for that one! |
Quote:
that's not what i meant paul. i mean, they are like my favorite band!!!! what i mean is, people who attend shows to record them and later upload them and trade them might not know them yet or think there's enough demand for them, they just started to make a name for themselves fairly recently and keep in mind that the most bootlegable tape-trading bands are the likes of the grateful dead, phish, etc. then afrirampo does seem a little out of league. also, how many people really understand their genius right now? but in a plain perspective, few bands are as trade worthy as afrirampo, those girls slay with capital RIPYOURGUTSOUTWITHARUSTYFORK. |

yes, i have a dime account but my ratio is very low at the moment and can't download squat; i am preparing some torrents to raise it, though (namely, the fall shows i've uploaded, the smiths one i'm uploading tomorrow and an sy one).

The reason was that I couldn't upload properly ('cos I'm still a bit computer-clueless, or a techiediot if you prefer), and I really wanted to share some stuff with the forum - it was by downlaoding a couple of things here that I could start trading myself, so it seemed like the decent thing to do. So thanks to Paulybee, Toxa and atari, as it was one each of their shares that allowed me to get started. Also, a huge thanks to Everyneurotic for being so obliging and uploading the stuff I posted to him. Somebody rep this guy quick! As it happens, I think I've more or less sorted the upload thing out. I'm going to try uploading The Fall's Piccadilly Radio session from 1988 later - good version of 'Cab It Up!' in particular - but my one remaining problem is this: I've converted to mp3, but I want to make the four tracks into one single mp3 for uploading, to save having four different files. Help? Please? Thanks to all - this forum is a great place. |
Quote:
you don't need to make one mp3 file, what you need is to pack those four tracks into a zip or rar file, so you get one file that will unpack into 4 after downloading. you need a program like winzip or winrar, do a quick search, you'll find which ever you like in an instant and making compressed files is very easy. the smiths link in a few... |

I just got Pink Floyd October 11, 1969. Very good quality for an early show. Do you need it? |

i would really appreciate your uploading it. |
The Smiths 1985-Mar-18 Apollo, Oxford UK "Before Love" http://www.badongo.net/file/755171 mp3 vbr 70 (125-175 kbps) Hip Priest strikes again, a nice set by the smiths. one thing: it's not absolute that i will post the fall and smiths gigs on dime, but i'll try my best. |
if you have xp just right click the folder with the mp3s and press add to archive or add to zip or send to -> zip folder or something like that.
