Awesome, hopefully it will make the rounds in DVD format or high-definition video really soon. Their show at Lowlands festival was also broadcast. Here's "Undertow":

I've seen the Reading footage and have to admit, the girls are pretty awesome live. Here's some live footage of Foxtail Somersault. There's not a lot at the mo, but from what I've seen, they're just as great live as Warpaint. It has to be said, the female lead is gorgeous and has fantastic legs.

I don't believe it. I've just discovered another great American shoegaze band. This time from Florida, of all places. The band's called Autumn's Grey Solace. They sound exquisite. Here's some of their tunes:

I saw Warpaint a few days ago. Wonderful concert, also emotive because it was Emily's birthday. Snapped a few fuzzy pictures and uploaded some to flickr:

I recorded the show. The final results are not too great, but they aren't exactly crap either. My computer broke a few weeks ago, and it still hasn't been fixed so I'm unable to use BitTorrent at the moment, but I'll be glad to share my recording as soon as possible. I know the venue was allowed to record as well, so maybe a soundboard recording will be available soon.

Trolling on facebook, I came across a couple of sweet albums with many candid pictures of Warpaint taken by Robin Laananen:

Bump.

Emily and Theresa are featured in a documentary that recounts the story of how Vox hit the big time and defined the sound of the 60s in Britain. The documentary airs tonight at 22:35 on BBC 1 South East.

The documentary has been uploaded on youtube, unfortunately the Warpaint bit is very short (around 30 s).

Part 1

Part 2 (in which Emily and Theresa appear at 8:44)

Bumpity bump.

I've finally gotten around to uploading my recording of Warpaint's performance at Voilą Acoustique in Mexico City (Friday, September 30th, 2011). Currently seeding it to dimeadozen (though, please have some patience, I'm extremely limited on bandwidth):

WARPAINT, Voilą Acoustique, Mexico City, September 30th, 2011-Sony PCM M-10 (FLAC 24 bits/48 KHZ)

Also shoved it to Soundcloud. The damn thing didn't allow me to upload the last song and "Baby" is cut, due to their two-hour limit for free users, or something:

I plan to upload to wetransfer, and post a link for non-dimers soon. Hold tight if you don't have an account.

Nice link. Thanks, nicfit. And I hope you find something enjoyable in my recording (if you actually bother to download it), even though I do know it has plenty of flaws (some folks bumped into my mics a few times during the first song until I found a spot to let the recorder laying flat, etc...)

I look forward to your Morkobot .flac files, but I understand it's not always possible to upload when one actually wants to, so don't put any pressure on yourself. :)

I hope in 2012 will see Warpaint releasing some new material as well...

EDIT:

Forgot to mention that my whole recording of Warpaint is now up on soundcloud, in case some people would rather listen to it there. I had to get rid of a hidden set I had in order to have the last two songs showing up...

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 05.03.2012 12:49 AM

5425 and still cracking well into 2012. amazing. war paint deserves it. LA bands so rarely break..

tripsk 05.07.2012 10:38 AM

Warpaint is one of my favorite bands. I really hope they release a new album soon :C

Other than that, Stars is my favorite song by them.

louder 05.07.2012 10:55 AM
