I'm kind of shocked they did "Sandwitches." That's awesome.
|
I loved seeing Mos Def at the end.

u guys obviously don't watch The Boondocks, there was a whole episode about that. a good one too! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBp_BwNX6gE |
and although i like odd future, the "sandwitches" performance just some like juvenille and slightly weaker version of gravediggaz.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwJmEvLXvq8 i love this song |
tyler said he doesn't even listen to gravediggaz so i dunno
|
i think they sound more like a juvenile and weaker version of ganksta n.i.p. than gravediggaz
|
i don't think they sound like a juvenile, weaker version of anyone

They make juvenile look harder than the most mature of rap groups. I'm so happy about their response on Fallon. These kids are about to make it huge after self-releasing everything for only a year or two. Golf wang. |
that Fallon performance was so incredible man. I watched it several times in a row. Just astounding. The intensity level is unreal. And when Tyler jumps on Jimmy's back, there's a smile that's just real. I mean like you know he was proud of himself.

I keep seeing random people online getting into them after 'Yonkers' and even some people in my school are now getting into them. Fucking weird man.
|
On the negative side, I've self-released most of my music for the past year and no one's gave a shit. FUCK OFWGKTA.
Maybe I should just become a rapper, I dunno. |
if u did I'd listen.
|
not.

Okay, so I heard their performance on Jimmy Fallon and liked it. What should I download to start with?
|
Bastard, EARL or Rolling Papers.
|

Rome wasn't built in a day, my friend. I've been self-releasing my music (though labels have put it out too) for 13 years, and only in the past year or two did anyone seem to give a shit. There's just SO MUCH stuff out there, that I think it's very difficult for people to keep up with all of it... I was lucky to start making music right as mp3's were starting to get popular. Now every other drone project is net-releasing than 10-hour albums, for example. I've been lucky to meet lots of superfriendly people via last.fm, and the ones that truely care, are superdevoted to everything I do. I'd take 2 or 3 superfans over 1000 "last.fm listeners" you know what I mean? You already have a hardcore fan in me, so just get a couple more superfans and you'll be a champion. |
