Those I posted are from another forum. I'm not posting a link to it as I've seen some stuff that's in print.

Gate - The Wisher Table

This release from New Zealand noise rock guitarist Michael Morley completes a trilogy for the Table of the Elements label that began with the drone masterpiece The Dew Line and was followed the equally impressive, if a little off kilter, Monolake. The third installment is a continuation the desolate themes of isolation that made the previous records discomforting explorations of lucid guitar texture's and rambled vocal desperation. The vague song forms reflect the music of his other project, Dead C, in some manner, yet, at the same, that is probably the only other comparison to this unique brand of noise shaping, feedback-drenched minor-key strum underlined by droning loops and the noise of corroding speakers. Like fellow New Zealand noise groups Rain and Flies Inside the Sun, Gate's charm lies in the apparent homemade isolation that gives them a tone unlike anything else. Such outlandish experimentation could not occur in the calculation of a studio environment, like a feedback-drenched minor-key strum underlined by droning loops and the noise of corroding speakers. Somehow this is a little hard to hold the attention, yet, as whole, this record is fine and bold statement, and is certainly a vital album in the spectrum of '90s post-rock and noise music. That Gate has worked with guitarist Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth may give an indication of the six string-havoc on offer here.

Harry Taussig - Fate Is Only Once

From Boomkat:

'Fate is Only Once' was originally released back in 1965 but was an impossibly short run privately pressed LP, obtainable by almost nobody. Of course it has become the stuff of legend for John Fahey fans and Takoma collectors desperate to find more Taussig material than the short contributions to 'Contemporary Guitar Spring '67' compilation and now thankfully it's been given the full-on re-issue treatment from NY label Tompkins Square.

Remastered and packaged with the same liner notes as the original record this is a stunning example of the Takoma style of solo guitar picking. Fahey fans will find much to sink their teeth into here, and although I'd never heard of Taussig before listening to this cd it was quickly apparent from the first couple of tracks that the man had an incredible skill, much in the same way as Fahey.

This is the sort of American music steeped in history, in blues and folk and in rock 'n roll - and now a new generation of listeners and guitarists are hearing these recordings and being inspired once more.

If you've been enjoying the stream of releases from axe worshippers Jack Rose, James Blackshaw or Six Organs of Admittance's Ben Chasny then there's not a chance you won't fall for 'Fate is Only Once'. I think there's something about knowing where it came from and hearing the recording quality that gives it that little something else, a certain magic if you will - highly recommended!

Hanatarash - We Are Hardcore 5 CD

Released as a bootleg by Superman Cha Cha on 5 CDrs. I must confess that I've never seen a copy of this in person and have never seen the actual artwork, and I don't have any info on it either. That said, Hanatarash have consistently released some of the best harsh noise, well, ever. It still blows my mind how straight up good these guys can be.

Thanks to Brian for showing my lazy ass where the discogs listing is.

hey kids, in case you haven't downloaded this one yet, the original uploads crapped out thanks to shareonall's closing; luckily, the guy who posted it originally has reuploaded it. here are the new links:

Excellent quality radio recording.
I think this would make a pretty good introduction to late and later period AMM for anyone interested.

AMM

Two concerts from AMM, at once similar and contrasting.

The first is an FM recording from WDR of a 1994 concert in Bielefeld, from a series entitled "Mobil - Offene Form mit Variations", and features the cellist from the Arditti String Quartet;

16th May, 1994
Ravensberger Spinnerei, Bielefeld, Germany

Eddie Prevost - drums & percussion

John Tilbury - piano, announcements
Keith Rowe - electric guitar
Rohan de Saram - cello

The music includes;

Cornelius Cardew - Solo with Accompaniment for 2 instruments ad libitum
Christian Wolff - for 1, 2 or 3 people, any sound producing means
John Cage - Variations III for arbitrary number of players and arbitrary sound originators
Howard Skempton - for strings (waves, shingle, seagulls)
Cornelius Cardew - February pieces for piano (#2)
AMM - improvisation for piano, guitar, violoncello and drums

A very good quality recording - thank you very much, Owombat, for making this available.

The second concert is AMM as a duo, from earlier this year, and was a concert recorded at Aula Magna dell'Universitą La Sapienza di Roma on 11th March, 2008 (and broadcast on RAI3 on 6th September). The music is similar, but the interpretation has moved on.

John Tilbury - piano

Eddie Prevost - percussion

Cornelius Cardew; Piano Solo with Accompaniment
Cornelius Cardew; Unintended Piano Music
John Tilbury/Eddie Prevost; Improvisation AMM

The nastiest and meaniest group since Rapeman. If you are fed up with The Jesus Lizard (is it even possible?) and Albinism, try this one. These Finns knows how to blow your brains out. One of my all time favorite groups.

Hi ( i hope this posts this time)...but does anyone out there have "The Great One Is Dead" by Saccharine Trust???? The record label in germany has discontinued it and it's not on ebay or anything. If someone can post that, that would be great. And if anyone has any requests that I may be able to find lemme know & I'll return the favor. thanks
