By the way, it's nice to see you are back, even though this place is kinda rotten. Hope you've been fine.

It's downloading now, so all is good. Well, it's nice to be back. I've been fine, sometimes more often than others.

krastian 04.02.2008 01:55 PM

THE BREEDERS
Live on KEXP @ SXSW 2008
Broadcast by KEXP, Seattle
from KLRU Studios (Austin City Limits), Austin, Texas
14 March 2008 - aired live

Source: Uncompressed Internet Audio Stream

Lineage: KEXP uncompressed audio stream (1411 kb/s) > wav > Audacity > FLAC level 6 > torrent

The Breeders, formed 20 years ago by ex-Pixie Kim Deal, previewed songs from the forthcoming "Mountain Battles" CD in this short set. Kim Deal is the only original member, and the band was inactive for part of those years, so this set might be expected to be a vanity performance. But Deal, sometimes joined on vocals by sister Kelley, strips down her alternative sound to bare essentials. It was more intense than I expected, with the fuzz guitar of "Cannonball" capped by a gentle acoustic duet on "Here No More."

01. Intro 0:35
02. Bang On 2:12
03. Walk It Off 2:50
04. Interview 5:48
05. Cannonball 3:53
06. Here No More 2:40
Total: 17:58

Uploader's Notes: Audio stream capture was edited down to The Breeders' live performance. The audio was untouched except for tracking and a fadeout at the end. There is a skip of a few notes at 2:13 of Track 3, "Walk It Off." The wide variation in levels from the interview track onward were present in the original.
