Rob Instigator 09.26.2016 02:43 PM

2004 he won clearly though

the repuke debacle was in the 2006 midterms

by 2010 the tea partiers carried the midterms on the wake of obamacare

that wasn't a surprise, Bush still had some popularity, Kerry was a weak candidate, and across American history there has very rarely been a regime change in the middle of a war

that and Trump makes Bush II appear sophisticated and articulate in comparison

Rob Instigator 09.26.2016 04:20 PM

I posted this on the book of Face

In light of tonight's ridiculous shit show, please consider doing something else with your time and instead writing in Roberto X. Torres-Torres as your write-in candidate for President of these here United States of America when you do go and vote. I know how to keep private emails private, am not an egomaniacal power-hungry Billionaire looking out for my even-richer "friends," and I guarantee to make all the people that you cannot stand mad at me...

i didn't bring him up as a "surprise", i brought him up to counter your claim that "people aren't that stupid"

yes they are. we have a terrible educational system that values "self esteem" over truth and too many people lack critical thinking skills. so any idiot gets a free license to spout idiocies because everyone has the right to their wrong opinon. which is fine in private life but when it comes to politics... this is the result.

and i'm not talking only about people voting republican. democrats also make all sorts of offers that fall flat under minimal analysis. so the public with its short memory doesn't hold politicians (or the infotainment media) accountable for shit.

!@#$%! 09.26.2016 10:09 PM

i think hillary did very well, kept her cool, landed some zingers, and had a good second half

fucking loco trump evaded and confused and lied and lied some more and made it all about himself and said who knows what the fuck, but he landed some good punches when it came to manufacturing being destroyed and blaming the political class for it...

...not that he has any solutions for that really, but by waving that flag he gets the white working class to buy his snake oil so he can shaft them like he did that architect and his creditors on his multiple bankruptcies

what a fucking con man, and what torture to watch

again, Bush II is only "that stupid" in hindsight, in that time he was much more "electable" by every historical and political metric. Trump on the other hand, a toxic constituency of bigoted or stupid

evollove 09.27.2016 05:57 AM

I no longer understand anything. Trump's performance was easily the worst I've ever seen. But skimming reactions this morning, it seems I watched the wrong show.

I figured this would knock the stuffing out of his campaign, yet the overall consensus seems to be that this won't change the poll numbers much. How the fuck an undecided can remain so after last night is bewildering. I don't get it.

greenlight 09.27.2016 06:44 AM

i am watching the debate now. o.k. Donald is phenomenon on it's own, no doubt about that, but man, I can not stand that woman. everytime I see her she is getting on my nerves big time. she present herself like such a nice smiling person and yet she is such a fucking filthy lying evil with Soros beside her. typical politician. Clintons corruption inc.. they should be long gone. i do not understand that. i am angry.

sorry, I hate her so much.
