Btw I just realised Prodigy's "Music For The Jilted Generation" has been released this year. It's apparently remasted, I wonder how it sounds like, I always felt like its dated production was part of its charm, it sounds very "90's rave". Maybe I'll get it

yep sounds pretty interesting. I wonder how fat of the land would sound like if they would remaster it, wonder if theres any difference. it still beats most productions when it comes to brutal bass and these sawlike sounds the prodigy like to use (thanks to the sherman filterbank)

SYRFox 08.30.2008 11:16 AM

Yeah The Fat Of The Land still sounds great. Experience has been reissued as well, so The Fat Of The Land Expanded may come one day... that would be great, I bet they got unreleased material from that era. They're apparently going to release a new album 2009, which I'm rather excited about, as I really liked "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned". I think there's new material on youtube but I haven't bothered to check yet

^^^I listened to this "warrior smth" new track, theres is a little tour documentary which was shot by a freind of the prodigy, and the shitty soundquality of the mobile with what he shot really enhance the power of the gig. looking forward to that album especially because they are in the original line up again.
btw I saw them live short after "baby got a temper" came out, and they were insane!!

SYRFox 08.30.2008 11:30 AM

Really? From the videos I seen it seemed like it was almost like they were doin' studio versions, I've been fooled then? I imagine the energy of the live must be fantastic

al shabbray 08.30.2008 11:31 AM

ye of course they are doing studio version. but there is this little documentary, I forgot the link which illustrates pretty good what the prodigy is live about: ENERGYYYYYY from the Bottom of bassland

SYRFox 08.30.2008 11:32 AM

Haha yeah, it's probably better when it's truly live, not videos on youtube

SYRFox 08.30.2008 04:00 PM
