I very much likey Cantankers' song as well - and it is a very sweet dedication to her man.

Cantankerous 09.11.2008 10:54 PM

loops

krastian 09.11.2008 11:00 PM

Cantankerous 09.11.2008 11:00 PM

krastian 09.11.2008 11:06 PM

I should be getting my drum mics here in a week or so....I'm pumped to be able to record.

Cantankerous 09.11.2008 11:06 PM

i just listened to it again and i have to say fuck it, i AM proud of it

edit

you should record drum parts and send them to me to download so i don't have to use loops

krastian 09.11.2008 11:17 PM

I could prob. do that.....I bring the thunder.

MellySingsDoom 09.12.2008 01:22 AM

I've listened to "Scorpio Rising" and I'm really impressed by it. It has a great rhythm/groove to it, the guitar sounds are great, and that descending riff is well catchy. All over, an excellent tune and a good progression/development from her "Black Magic". Well done there, C :)

Cantankerous 09.12.2008 01:26 AM

thank you once again

the mp3 on my computer sounds so much better, there's a noticeable loss of quality on myspace

i might add that this was completely improvised

I like it.

Me and some friends are starting something up. Likely to be a four piece. Two guitarist, singer, and a drummer. I'll be playing a very tuned down guitar to make up for the lack of bass. I think it'll sound something like doom/ sludgy post-rock, I hope. These are our plans any way.

DeadDiscoDildo 09.12.2008 05:36 PM

^^goodluck with that, the beginnings of a new project are always a blast!

And Cantank, love your version of julia (n) I'll stop hitting on you even though you are a fox, you've got something special going on. touching.

Anyways...

www.myspace.com/rememberthatband (The Harlequins)

We just got some live recordings from a local festival we played in June back to us so I posted them on that myspace page. Let me know what you guys think, I put up 3 originals and a cover from that show!!!!!

Also, I'm psyched, we're about to play midpoint music festival in cinci (formerly mid by midwest festival) and we got our first write up in CITY BEAT (citywide entertainment paper)

"With a solid, swoony rhythm section -- which helps create the crest and fall of this band's simple yet effective soundscapes -- and a vocal crooner who crafts swaying, mesmerizing melodies, The Harlequins have become one of the more intruiging new bands in Cincinnati's Indie scene. There is an unforced shimmer to the band's unique glide.
"
